Rodimus Prime's desk hasn't become any more desk-like since his last entry. Ah, well! This time, however, it has a large slab of black metal sitting on it near Rodimus's left elbow. At the moment, due to the angle, it's hard to tell what, exactly, it is, but it looks pretty wrecked.
As with all of Rodimus's reports, a text transcription is attached.
"I know by now a lot of you have heard about the condition I arrived here in, or witnessed it yourselves, and there have been a lot of questions, so I'm going to get them answered now.
"I arrived a good distance from base, and had to cross a large portion of the continent to get here. By the time I encountered the black, long nose tanker I had already been traveling for well over a day on no defrag and poor recharges, but there's no reason to believe he hadn't done similar.
"The tanker is the owner of this door," Rodimus grabs the black sheet of metal and holds it up, making the white-lined Decepticon symbol and the red shards of window that still remain in the door quite clear. "The 'nose' of his alternate mode splits and transfers to either shoulder. On his chest are what look to be two false windows, as if for a snub nose semi instead. Black with teal accents. Except for those differences, in robot mode he looks almost exactly like the Optimus Prime of my reality, and of at least two other realities represented here." Perceptor's and Xaaron's, yo. Rodimus puts the door back down.
"He's from Wedge and Sideburn's reality, and his name is Scourge. He is not a Unicronian and is not a true Prime. He was an Autobot 'protoform,'" Rodimus says the word as though it's clearly a new one to him, "reprogrammed by Megatron, and scanned from a tanker, their Optimus Prime, and a human.
"He is extremely powerful. At this time, only myself, Grimlock, or Omega Supreme are authorized to engage him one-on-one, and for the rest, even when teamwork is employed, I encourage the use of intelligent tactics and considerable caution. Really, though, avoid battling him at all without a plan and back-up.
"In combat, he seems to heavily favor his red sword, which he can use with either hand. However, he also has a powerful hand-cannon and can fire a missile barrage from his shoulders. His trailer unfolds into a full weapons platform with multiple gun and missile emplacements. When he goes all out, the full firepower he can bring into play at once is... impressive. On top of all this, he fires disks at a very high velocity from his tanker mode.
"When I fought him, he had to shout 'transform' to transform from tanker to robot mode, and seemed to have to shout 'barrage attack' to fire from the missiles from his shoulders. These will give you some warning as to his actions, if not much. It's unknown, at this point, if you could actually disable his ability to transform or use that attack by disabling his ability to speak. It's worth investigating, but be careful not to rely on that. Also, keep in mind that, if he's met up with Decepticons from other realities, he may eventually come up with a work-around to deal with the need for a speech-trigger.
Rodimus frowns, thinking over his encounter with Scourge. "It is possible to get him angry enough to disregard his own good sense. Our battle was interrupted when a storm began in the desert where we fought. He chose to attack me rather than deal with the approaching flash flood, and was consequently washed away. I'm told that his Optimus Prime could get him angry by trying to appeal to his 'Autobot goodness.'" Coming from a universe where Decepticons are, in fact, just Autobots who have gone rogue, that whole business seems pretty strange to Rodimus, and his tone conveys just that.
"Wedge has mentioned something about him amplifying his human bio-signature to control... Fortress Maximus?" The weirdness in Rodimus's own universe is normal to him. Stuff like this? That's bizarre. "I'm not sure how relevant that is here, unless their specific Fort Max shows up. That certainly wouldn't work on mine. Wedge also mentioned unusual ease in finding 'o-parts,' artifacts scattered around Earth necessary for waking up their Fort Max." All it took to wake up Rodimus's Fortress Maximus was for Spike to put on his damned suit. So, again, there's obvious confusion in Rodimus's tone and expression as he passes this on. "Again, not sure that would be important here. I'm told he once sabotaged their spacebridge network, though, which may be relevant."
"Anyway, that's all I've got. Wedge and Sideburn are encouraged to add their contributions on the subject." Rodimus looks like he's about to shut down the recording, then he pauses. "Although... in fact, if either of you have a voice recording of your Optimus Prime that you'd be willing to share, I'd appreciate it." And with that, the camera shuts off.
