As you guys know, we are heading once more into our second massive battle. The attack on Autobase is intended to be a three-pronged attack: First, Hellbender will break through to initiate the attack from below. Second, the Decepticons will attack from the general direction of the ocean/rivermouth, mostly by air but in some cases by land. Finally, the Autobots-3 will attack from up-river, mostly by land but in some cases by air. Although they will happen one-after-another, these three attacks will still be initiating closely enough together that for all intents and purposes, they're pretty much 'all at once.' This means that there will be three rather large 'initiator' threads, and as with all large threads, those three will probably rotate slowly. Consequently, we encourage people to peel off into sub-threads and sub-battles as quickly as possible, and if people have an excuse to do so, posting in and posting out to engage someone else in a single thread is allowed. If you are staying in a main thread but suspect you will not be doing anything significant for a couple of rounds, please set yourself 'skippable.' If you are skippable and at least one round has passed since your last turn, you may post back in anytime something comes up that you want to react to, and are then free to either remain part of the normal rotation, return to your 'skippable' status, or post out to engage an enemy in a smaller scuffle.
As with the Mesa Battle, we would like people to title battle-related threads in the format of <battle-name>:<So-and-so> vs <Such-and-such> (or <battle-name>:<non-combatant character listing>), and we ask that people try to keep up with as many of the other battle-threads as possible, in case something happens in one thread that is likely to affect characters in others (recall the example before of a character being physically thrown from one thread to the next). To make things easier, the admin will do our best to keep track of who is in what thread, and will edit the thread-titles accordingly. The battle is being named, "Heralding the Fireblade," but we don't expect everyone to type that whole thing before the ':' in the thread titles. Just "Fireblade" is fine.
If there's any questions or need for clarification, please contact the admin. Other than that, have a blast!
As a final note: this battle will be taking place on Day 11 of the DZ-3 timeline.
