OOC: When last we left our airborne assailants, Optimus Prime was being spun around by a Misfire that had an axe embedded in him, whilst Aimless proved to be a back-seat driver in a one-seat aircraft. What will happen next? Let's see...As Misfire spins him around, Optimus does indeed struggle with his balance. However, two can play at this game. Remember that axe? The one embedded in his wing? There's a rocket attached to the rear end of it. Optimus activates it.

Optimus activates that rocket, and Misfire promptly flips front over tail, unprepared as he was for such counter force pushing against his front wingtip. He recovers quickly enough, but the pressure from Optimus's rocket means most of Misfire's skill and concentration are going to keep him flying level and at speed, none left for fancy acrobatics.
"A new toy for a toy Prime. Why am I not surprised?" he snorts, before tilting his nose and heading almost straight up. It's a risky move, and he looses speed as the rocket booster pushes him backwards. It's a struggle not to flip again. But Misfire is fairly sure that if he stops moving, gives his hitchhiker too long a chance to do more than just hold on, that he's done for. After all, it's Optimus-fragging-Prime! Regardless of reality Optimii should be highly dangerous, right?
"Shouldn't you be off being foolishly heroic and fighting Starscream or Shockwave or that screwy Prime? I'm just a grunt of no consequence."
A short burst over Allied as he climbs higher.

Optimus removes his axe for another swing, when the sudden vertical shift sends him flinging back. He almost loses his axe, which is enough reason to stow it away.
"You don't think you're worthy, Decepticon?" Prime retorts to his opponent. "Funny, I think you're getting exactly what you deserve!"

"I assure you...I am not worthy...of being hacked on by any version of a Prime...regardless of size, color, or reality!" Misfire retorts. He's getting just a wee bit tired of this game. But at least his sudden vertical shift has made Prime stow away his rocket...axe...thingy.
Misfire does a deliberate stall, falling backwards, end over end for seconds before pulling out. If he remembers correctly, there's a nice run of jagged canyons below. Maybe he can brush his hitchhiker off on one of those outcroppings.

Optimus Prime pauses for a moment. He was too busy fretting over what his name and rank meant in the other Autobots that he never considered it to be something to inspire fear from the Decepticons.
And then, Misfire stalls and plummets. Optimus is about to yell that this stunt of his would put both of them offline, but that's not necessary as his engines re-ignite. However, Prime guesses what Misfire's game is. With his spare arm, he points it at Misfire's jet engines, launching FIRE RETARDANT FOAM at them. If Misfire's going to try and crash Prime, Prime will just have to do the exact same thing back at him.

Yep. Canyons, and despite their twists and turns easy peasy for the jet. Oooo, that space between that column and the wall should do it...."What the hell?" Misfire yells when the foam slips into his jets
Oh. Oh! This is not good. Not good at all.
//Going down near <coordinates>!// he advises over broadband as he starts to stall out again. "Fine. You want me down? We're going down. Hope you don't enjoy the ride!"
He's going to crash, sure, but Misfire will makes the crash as hard on his passenger as possible without jeopardizing his or Aimless' continued functionality.
OOC: Feel free to have the crash happen on your post, Prime.

"Oh I won't enjoy the ride..." Optimus yells back to Misfire, "...because this is where I get off!"
His foam emitter closes up and a grapple launcher extends. He breaks the first grapple only to launch towards the canyon face.
Unfortunately for Prime, this method is only marginally better than sitting on a crashing jet. He slams into the cliff face hard, scuffing and damaging his torso badly in the process.
"Aargh!"
He looks past the pain as best he can as he begins to lower himself to the ground, before transforming back into a fire truck and racing towards where Misfire lands.

"Oh, now that just isn't fair!" Misfire complains when Prime swings off, "You're supposed to keep your hands and arms inside the ride at all times!" Misfire spirals down. He needs to slow his speed.
This is going to hurt.
Already close to the canyon wall, Misfire transforms, hands and feet scrabbling for purchase on the jagged metal, not to close but to drag, try and control his fall. Aimless is at the Targetmaster's hip, and being thankfully silent. Misfire is still moving too fast when he hits an outcropping which sends him flying away from the wall. He lands hard on the canyon floor. Thankfully, the floor is sand and silt, not more of the metal-laced rock.
Deep gouges in his armour, one wing section crimped in even more than normal, and according to the damage warning screaming in his head, he's bleeding coolant and fuel. Transforming to get out of here is out of the question. Running to get out of here is out of the question.
At the sound of Optimus' approach, the jet shambles behind a rock, braces Aimless with both hands across its top, and waits. the minute the fire truck comes into view, Misfire is spraying the area with shots

Optimus knows nothing about Misfire, and simply assumes his tactic is a suppressing move, rather than it being about the best he can accomplish in terms of marksmanship. As it is, more than a few of the blasts connect the fire truck, but many more harmlessly hit the ground.
Transforming and running, Optimus retrieves his axe, snap-extends it, and grips it with both hands as he brings it down, aiming at Misfire.

Oh, this is so not good.
Misfire jerks back, left arm coming up to block the axe blow. Not the best option, but better than getting his CPU split. The blade slices into the armour of his forearm guards, then sticks. It hurts like the devil, at least until Misfire loses feeling from the elbow down. The jet pulls back hard- at best he'll pull Prime up and over the boulder. At worst, Misfire will pull his arm off the axe. As he does this, Misfire points Aimless at the all-too familiar chest of his opponent and fires.
At least with Optimus Prime this close, Misfire should have a better chance of hitting, right? Maybe? Possibly?
Let's ask Aimless, shall we?
Don't hold your breath, boys and girls. My aim gets worse when I'm scared outta my skin, not better!

Optimus gets thrown down hard onto the ground as the axe is yanked from him. He expects to get hit by Misfire... who seems to be using that suppressing fire tactic. Huh.
That being said, he could do some harm at, say, point blank. Optimus launches a grappler at Misfire's weapon, intending to yank it out of his hands.

Did Misfire actually hit Optimus Prime? Sweet Primus on a stick, he actually did!
The Targetmaster is for a moment so shocked by actually having hit something at which he was aiming that he forgets he has a big honking' axe stuck in his arm. Misfire levels Aimless at the fallen Prime, hoping lightning will strike twice. Sadly, he doesn't even get a chance to pull the trigger before Prime's grapple shoots toward Aimless.
"Oh no, nonononono, you don't!" the Nebulan screeches, leaping out of Misfire's hand and transforming as he tumbles to the ground. The tiny purple Not-Really-a-Transformer goes scurrying behind Misfire and into a crack in the wall.
//Get your aft back here!// Misfire yells over their shared link
//<insert a variety of creative curses which all equate to "Hell, No!">//
//Fine!// Misfire looks grimly determined as he reaches over and wrenches the axe out of his arm. He swings it down, intending to give it back to Prime blade first. //But remember, if I die, you might die as well.//

Optimus stares in disbelief as this strange Decepticon's gun... gets up and walks away. "What in the..."
Silly Optimus! You have disarmed him (okay, well, his armament disarmed itself but let's not get too picky here) but he still has your axe!
Reacting quickly, he tries to grab the axe with both hands on it's hilt. Using all his strength, he tries to wrest the axe from Misfire. But will it work...?

Prime grabs his axe, pulls with all his might, and Misfire gets his second shock of his life.
This Prime doesn't seem to be any stronger than Misfire, himself. Evidenced by the fact that while the tug pulls Misfire off balance, the Targetmaster still maintains his hold. He fully expected to not only have the axe yanked away, but to be tossed like a poppet about the ravine.
Misfire holds firm, operating under the idea that if they're playing tug-o-axe, then the Autobot can't do much to hurt him. Misfire pulls back, digs in, then kicks up his feet and drops backwards, hoping the sudden fall will roll the Prime head over heels.
This isn't Misfire's type of fighting. He's winging it, based on training from ages past, and memories of watching other such sparring matches.

Prime does indeed go tumbling, head over heels, again. This is getting annoying.
Optimus fires a little bit of foam at Misfire--just enough to cover his optics and buy him a little time to get up and counter-attack.
Not to mention have a look to where that little guy that used to a gun got to. Where did he go...?
