OOC: Day 30. This thread does not change the current rule against starting threads Day 30 or later. Meeting room on board the Event Horizon. Private thread. Allowed participants: Emirate Xaaron, Rodimus Prime, Kup, Botanica, Rattrap, Springer, Perceptor, and Skid-Z. If a player of one of the above characters does not want to participate, they are free to claim that their character couldn't make the meeting due to, or, shuttle delays or traffic on the planet below or any other number of reasons. Characters are encouraged to go skippable any time they're not actively speaking. Depending on how quickly this thread goes, it may be set to 'pause' at some point to allow for timing to match up with other things intended to happen this day.
Rodimus takes a very deep breath as he paces nervously around the meeting room, waiting for the rest of command staff to arrive. He's actually been feeling a bit better than normal of late, but the meeting topic, the reason for their gathering - that has him frightened. Terrified, actually, even if he manages to show it only through pacing and fidgeting. And periodic glancing towards the meeting room door.
It's a difficult issue, and in some ways, he regrets having chosen the route of deception at the beginning. He tells himself that they'll understand, that they'll forgive him... but he can't fully convince himself of that it's true.
It'd better be. If things go badly at this meeting, was does it say for when it's time to tell all the Autobots and Maximals about his unwanted passengers?
Rodimus pauses in his pacing, standing, for just a moment, straight and still as stone as he looks towards the door again. Since he keeps looking in that direction, it could just be coincidence that he's watching the door the moment someone actually arrives.
And yet, it doesn't feel that way.

Coincidentally, that door does open. The arrival might not be the one first expected to walk in, but he certainly is one to mind the time. It would not do to be late at a meeting, especially not with commanders involved.
Skid-Z walks inside the room, holding the door open or letting it slide shut depending on whether he's alone or not (including hearing someone behind him). He salutes, "Sir!". It's what he's used to doing. And with the way Rodimus Prime is standing, it is certainly what Skid-Z is doing!
Edit: When everyone is present and those who want to sit have taken a seat, Skid-Z will take one of the remaining chairs and go skippable.

Emirate Xaaron tries to set a good example and be timely. However, he knows the surprise here, or at least, he thinks he does. Emirate Xaaron arrives not much longer after Skid-Z. He greets Rodimus first, with a nod and, "Prime," and then Skid-Z with, "Skid-Z."
Emirate Xaaron confidently strides over to what can only be his seat and takes it. He sits ready and alert.

Perceptor is not late, for once. He isn't even engrossed in a datapad or some other item when he slips through the door to join the others. Guessing that this must be a serious meeting, he's intentionally left all such temptations back in his lab, promising himself to behave, be concise, and be brief if he is, for whatever reason, called upon to speak.
He nods a silent greeting to everyone before choosing a seat at random and settling into it to wait for everyone else to arrive.
ooc: skippable unless addressed or needed.

Kup is a bit late. He might even be later than some of the other people who chronologically post arrival after him. Just call that an animation error. Kup doesn't immediately sit down, instead pacing around the room, taking in who is here, how they're relative spatially positions, nodding absently in greeting. Just looks like a friendly doing the rounds, and it is, but it's a security check, too.
He tries to think what this here meeting might be about. A lot of things, really. Too many things.

Springer shows up soon after the others, glancing around at those present, with a faint raise of his browridges. Huh. Must be serious. Almost all the command staff...
He moves a wall near the door, leaning against it with crossed arms - a spot where he can see everyone, really.

As she slips into the open seat next to Perceptor, Botanica smiles brightly at Rodimus. She for one has felt much better in the days since their adventure on the mountain, and her trips to the planet have been very tolerable of late, even pleasant. She can only hope the young Prime has found some measure of peace as well.
The smile is turned on Emirate Xaaron, then Botanica settles into the chair a bit more, nodding at the other heads and 2iC's.
She tries to pat Perceptor on the arm. "Oh, by the way, thank you for the assistance with my fertilizer additive. It is working wonderfully," she murmurs as she watches Rodimus. Hrm
"My, you're a bundle of nerves today Rodimus. I hope everything is well with you?"

The downside to being the shortest guy in the meeting is that Rattrap takes the longest to arrive. It's unavoidable; maybe he should talk Holi into handing someone some specs for that gravity pod the kid's always nattering about whenever he mentions his human friend back home. Sounds like it could be a handy gadget for the shorter crew members to get around this big boat. Rattrap probably comes sidling in during the middle of Kup's security check.
"Did I miss all the fun?" he wonders. Should've just hitched a ride with Xaaron.

Rodimus's optics flicker brighter at SkidZ's salute; he's been Prime long enough to be used to that sort of thing, but not long enough to be comfortable with it. He returns the salute as quickly as he can so that SkidZ can drop his, awkward smile tugging at the corner of his lips, then turns to watch the other entries. "Emirate," he dips his head, returning Xaaron's greeting as he starts to move to take a seat himself. He brightens briefly as Kup arrives, though his smile turns awkward at Botanica's comment. "Yeah... yeah, I guess I am," he admits. "Things are... as well as they get, and... no, Rattrap. In fact, now that you're here, I guess the 'fun' can really start."
And then his brittle smile collapses and his optics lower to the table. This is so hard to say... so hard to admit! How does one even start?
"I... I have something to confess to all of you," he begins hesitantly. "I haven't... been entirely forward with all of you about my circumstances." He looks up, optics sweeping over each of those seated at the table as he works to study their reactions. "In my own reality, after the destruction of Unicron's body, he enslaved the Junkion people to build a new one for him. It was during that business that I realized that there was no way to fully destroy him, so instead, I chose to contain him - I trapped him in the Autobot Matrix of Creation." And that's just the beginning... but should be enough to start.

Emirate Xaaron quirk an optical ridge at Botanica'a smile and files that away for later. Now, Emirate Xaaron stands from where he was seated, looks the other assembled Autobots and Maximals, and addresses, "I was aware of Rodimus Prime's gambit in caging Unicron. I couldn't not be. I am... sensitive to such matters." He lightly steeples his finger before his chest.
"So pleased don't be alarmed. Unicron has been in little danger of escaping. I've taken it upon myself to monitor the situation, the cybercondor in the trilithium mine. Rodimus Prime's will and resolve have been admirable throughout the whole ordeal."

"You are quite welcome, Botanica," he murmurs in reply, before turning his attention back towards Rodimus and Xaaron.
The Prime's nervousness before addressing them becomes so glaringly obvious right before he speaks that not even Perceptor, absent-minded Professor that he is, coot miss it. He sits up a bit straighter, paying close attention to Rodimus Prime's words, a thoughtful frown appearing upon his features as the significance of what is revealed becomes clear.
And clears up certain... other details that Perceptor alone has become aware of. He says nothing, for the moment, though, merely staring at Rodimus with a very thoughtful look... as one would stare at a specimen for study, perhaps, or an equation that was proving difficult to solve.

Kup knew what Rodimus Prime had to say. He feels for the kid, but like in "The Burden Hardest to Bear", Kup figures that Rodimus Prime will just have to find his way on his own. Getting it out in the open is probably just as well.
Emirate Xaaron's admitted that he knew, and he's a cagey buzzard. Kup's never been one to give a damn about his reputation. Bluffing's for poker. Kup lays his cards on the table, shrugging and looking as unsurprised as he feels.
Yeah, Kup knew. What about it?
Emirate Xaaron's a bit more of a question, just what that guy is, but now's not the time.

Springer's browridge arches.
"So... Lemme make sure I've got this right. You killed that big planet-eatin' planet in your universe, except he wasn't really dead, so you trapped his... Ghost? Spark? Whatever it was, it's locked up in that magic doodad you carry around in your chest?"

Skid-Z is without words. However, his expression visibly rockets between confusion, nervosity, doubt and even fear.
Eventually, he's still looking quite uneasy but is able to settle down and continue listening. -Remaining skippable because of time zones and internet glitches-

Botanica's smile falters and her brow furrows at Rodimus's reply. His words obviously worry her. When he continues with his explanations, however, and addresses the group at large, her expression slips to one of understanding and compassion- but not surprise.
She does reach out to try and place a comforting hand on Rodimus's arm. Yes, she knew, and both Rodimus and Xaaron know that she knew. The touch and the compassionate and reassuring smile that goes along with it are strictly for those who did not know.
"It's a heavy burden. I don't think anyone would fault you your secrecy," she says. Perhaps her eyes cut toward Rattrap for a moment. If anyone here is going to make an outburst, it is likely to be him, if only because Rattrap is very much not shy about expressing his opinion.
