Suddenly, the main curtain crashes, as do the lights. Someone screams, because someone always does.
The emergency lights come on. There is a figure in black armour standing on the stage, a figure who draws a burning sword.
Someone had better call the National Guard - it's Mordred.
The black knight's voice booms and echoes forth from the stage, "You know who you are and why I want you. Give yourself up, and no one gets hurt."

Addison Payne and his current boy-toy aren't the only ones with a private box. A woman whose current ID says she is Raven Darkholme1 is sitting in a balcony seat, surrounded by the best "friends" money can buy. It turns out money can buy any number of shallow, well-dressed, vapid, easily-manipulated people (with no working knowledge of comic books) to attend operas with oneself, and marvel at how one can follow the plot without reading the program.
Rook works hard, he is allowed to do nice things for himself from time to time.
When Mordred breaks in, he's shocked. On the one hand, there's someone he's been looking for. On the other hand, what is he talking about? The black knight can't mean he's looking for him, can he?
Rook rolls his eyes, checks his watch, and takes a sip of wine. His herd of expensive friends is restless, perhaps ready to stampede at the approach of a predator. One of them actually tries to excuse herself to go to the restroom, but 'Raven' shoots her a withering look and she sits meekly back down.
Rook downs the rest of the wine in his glass in one swig. He couldn't have waited until after the opera? He doesn't particularly mind if people get hurt, as long as the people aren't him.
1. Come on, Raven. It was too good to pass up.

"Of course, dear. We can talk about-"
Suddenly, Black Knight. Addison frowns and snarks, "I shall have to complain. I was unaware that this was a new interpretation of the work." He sighs and leans back in his chair, shaking his head.
"Really Rodney, if you hated the idea so much you could have tried to persuade me otherwise. No need to schedule an interruption by Scourge." After all, who else would that familiar black figure be?

Rodney's eyes open wide and he sits up straight. "What th- how the blazes did he even know I'm here?!" he sputters, automatically assuming that he's the one that Scourge is referring to. After all, who else could it be?
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to take this call, Addison," he says, stripping off his jacket. The rest of his clothes, unfortunately, are doomed - he's not taking the time to remove them, and he instead burns them off, revealing his red and yellow superheroing outfit beneath. He puts his mask in place. "Do what you can to get these people out of here calmly," he orders. He then zips from the box, keeping his flames low for the moment to try and take advantage of the dark. Unfortunately, that just means he only glows a little bit.
"Didn't know you were such an opera fan, Scourge," he observes, flying right for Mordred. If he can, he'll attempt to grab the armored woman. The goal is to get her out of the opera house, and if he has to take them both through a wall or ceiling to do it, so be it.

"What the!?" Mordred demands, clearly surprised by the Crimson Cavalier. She jumps out of his way and lands in the orchestra, accidentally snapping several piccolos on the way down. Mordred hollers, "What are you doing here, you Crimson Craven?"
She raises her red blade and casts a fireball at the darkness Crimson Cavalier.

Rook raises an eyebrow. The boy Prime is here as well? He cranes his neck, following the Crimson Cavalier's flight path to see where he came from. It appears to be . . . that box over there. "Excuse me," Raven says, straightening her dress as she gets up from her seat and threads her way through her flock of sycophants to her box's exit. "You can all go, I suppose," she says as an afterthought, waving an exquisitely-manicured hand dismissively.
Naturally, there's an immediate stampede. By that point, though, she's already out into the hallway, stalking toward the door to the private box Rodney Pryor and Addison Payne were sharing. It's not easy to stalk in heels, but Rook manages it.

Addison shakes his head, picks up the tuxedo jacked from the floor, and drapes it over his arm. "It was such a fine suit, too," he laments.
The model is in a bit of a quandary. Rodney ordered Addison to help get the humans to safety. This is in the realm of what Addison Payne might do. The issue is that Addison wouldn't leave without his date, especially given how much he seems to care for Mr. Rodney Pryor.
At any rate, he can't stay here. Addison strips off his own jacket, musses his hair, and adopts a worried, harried expression as he exits his box. Dramatic timing might mean he walks into the approaching femme fatale.

Cavalier flies past Mordred, then pulls up short and spins towards him. He lifts his forearms, crossing them in front of him. The ball of fire hits him, pushing him backwards as he hovers, though most of the energy is absorbed by his own flaming aura.
He blinks, surprised. "Wait, so you weren't- then who-" his eyes widen. Then there's someone else in here, and... probably not another Autobot. He attempts to radio Addison, and... that doesn't work, because he's not a robot, so he'll just have to trust Addison to take care of himself and stay on the alert.
The tricky thing about this battle is that it works to the Cavalier's advantage if he keeps it at a range; he absorbs most ranged attacks more easily. But leaving Sc- er, Mordred down there with the bystanders isn't acceptable. Looks like the orchestra is clearing out quickly enough - he he can just keep the fight confined to there for awhile, he should be all right. Right? He starts to circle his opponent, staying high enough that any blasts that miss him are bound for the ceiling instead, and he points his hand towards the other and fires at him. "What? Don't I seem like the type to occasionally try and catch an opera?"

Mordred decides that trying to set someone on fire on fire again is maybe a losing idea. Sadly, she cannot just dump the building on the Cavalier, because 1) she is in the building and 2) Rook is also in the building somewhere. Mordred bellows out, "I came for my corbie!" and the Cavalier is not her bird.
She leaps out the orchestra and over that blast and looks up at the box from whence the Cavalier came. Then Mordred books it to a stairwell. Did the Cavalier come with company?

Addison Payne does indeed walk right into the approaching femme fatale, who quickly recognizes him as Addison Payne, because she keeps up with both pop culture and the news. It only takes a split second to decide that: a) Addison Payne just came out of the same box Rodimus Prime came from and therefore might be an Autobot and b) he's probably worth killing even if he's just a human because he was there with Rodimus Prime.
A stilleto heel is aimed at the area that would be called "the gearbox" were Mirage currently a robot.

OOC: Skipping Addison due to time-out.
"Your wha-?!" And then Cavalier's eyes widen. "Oh!"
He scowls as Mordred so handily dodges the blast and then starts booking it away. So flying neither the flying tackle nor the blast connected... something a bit harder to dodge, then. Rodney loses a few moments to the chase because he darts towards the stage to grab the curtain, but then he's after the black-armored figure again, quickly overtaking the human Decepticon. As he nears, he flings the curtain out, attempting to entangle his foe in it.

Addison is only acting distracted and harried and his reflexes are as quick as ever they were. He sidesteps the heel, but the narrowness of the hall coupled with the crush of people still heading out in a panic means he can't completely sidestep an injury. The woman's heel cuts across Addison's thigh, ripping both cloth and flesh.
"Excellent taste in shoes, my dear," he drawls as he grabs her shapely calf. He then quips, "What's the matter, did Michael Bay ruin your childhood?" as he viciously twists the woman's leg. He's hoping to put her on the floor with the move.
Meanwhile, a group of people in the hall start tweeting about the amazing publicity stunt going down at the opera house.

So Mordred gets ambushed by a curtain in a stairwell. She attempts to hack her way out, fuming - and given that he sword is flaming, it is possible that the curtain is now on fire. Mordred bellows, "It's time for your final curtain call, Autobot."
Wonder if any of the twitters will pick up on that?

So many witty retorts come to Rook's mind to respond to Payne's barb as the actor throws him to the floor. But he didn't come down here to banter with the human. He came down here to kill him.
The Predacon starts transforming as he hits the floor, picking himself up as tiny plates shift around, skin, dress, hair, and elegant heels disappearing to be replaced with black and grey metal. A scabbard sprouts from one hip and a rapier is quickly drawn from it and pointed at Addison Payne.
"Caw caw [molar-flosser]," he says as he salutes Mirage with his blade. Maybe he'll allow himself a tiny bit of banter.

Okay, so... Mordred is setting the curtains on fire, and one of the Decepticons (wait- wait- Predacon, right?) is... somewhere in here, damn it. But Cavalier's first priority is keeping the fire from going out of control.
"If that's the case, Scourge, time to leave the theater," he declares, attempting to grab up opponent, curtains, and all, while Mordred is still wrapped up in the things, and speed them towards the nearest exit.
