"No, no, you have this all wrong. I'm an actor in My Little Pony[, not Bay's Terminator reboot," Addison drawls, shaking his head and edging toward the stairs, "Really, if you're going to have an over-wrought fan moment, you should really check that you're threatening the right actor."
Addison Payne isn't a fighter, he just plays one on the big screen, but there are too many people- too many humans- here that can get hurt by the Predacon threatening him.
He turns and sprints for the stairs, heading up, not down.

So now Mordred is flying through the air, wrapped in a flaming curtain.
This is really not helping her find Rook.
Mordred blindly tries to stab the Crimson Cavalier, poking many holes in the curtain. Stabbing will never betray her!

OOC: Skipping Rook due to time-out.
Cavalier bursts out one of the side exits, arms full of flaming curtain, and now there is a sword poking out from it at random points and intervals. One of those random pokes catches the edge of his arm, and he hisses and drops the flaming bundle of curtain.
But at least he's outside now.

OOC: So sorry for timing out!
Rook dashes after Payne. Having someone actually running away from him is a new experience! It's a rather giddy feeling. He allows a smile to creep onto his face. "Yes, you're the star of My Little Pony and you're trained in hand to hand combat. Do a lot of your own stunts, do you?" Come on, Payne, give Rook a clue as to who you really are. He wants to be able to brag about who he killed.
A black dagger, shaped to resemble a feather, slides out from the Predacon's left wrist as he mounts the stairs. He wings it at the actor's back, hoping to slow him down.

Addison is just hitting the landing when Rook's dagger hits, the point driving up and under his shoulder blade. The model manages to not scream, but only just. In his memory, this is the first time he's ever been really hurt in this body. It is somehow worse than his memories of pain in his true form and it causes him to stumble across the landing and into the exit door. The door opens and sends him tumbling into the hall.
He realizes suddenly that he really could die like this.
"More actors are so trained than you might realize," he gasps out as he pushes himself to his feet, "It increases our marketability. I don't suppose you're going to be polite and tell me why you're trying to kill me?"
He's facing Rook now. This area has been cleared of people, so there's no one to get hurt.
No one, that is, except Addison.

Mordred finally bursts out of the curtain like a wrathful Volcarona from a cocoon. She furiously demands, "Why must you meddle in events that have nothing to do with you?" and she scoops up a cape-like segment of the flaming curtain.
She tries to fling the piece of flaming curtain over the Cavalier's face. How well does he fly blinded?

"Because things that have something to do with you tend to involve a lot of collateral damage," Cavalier answers cheerfully. One might argue that his involvement could easily have increased the chances for collateral damage, but that one would have forgotten what Mordred had done to the Asylum.
As the flaming curtain flies his way, he turns up his energy field and it burns away quickly, before it can obscure his vision for more than a few moments. He expands that aura further, attempting to use it now offensively as he once more flies towards Sable, diving towards Mordred legs, the energy making it somewhat harder to avoid him. Of course, it is life energy, so it may not do lasting damage, but if it just throws his opponent off for long enough for him to gain the advantage, Rodney will call that good enough.

It's been quite some time since Rook had an opportunity to use his daggers, so he's absoluted elated that he actually hit Payne with that throw. The only sign of that emotion on his face is a cruel, thin-lipped smile. "Either you already know why I'm trying to kill you, or you're only human and thus not worth telling." It's also possible that Payne is an Autobot who does not remember that he is an Autobot, but that would detract from the pithy turn of phrase.
"How about you?" the Predacon asks, as he levels the point of his sword at the actor. "Any last words?"

Addison does a quick assessment of the situation and comes to a rather unsettling conclusion. No powers, no skills, no weapons....
He is royally fragged.
"I'm afraid I don't perform on command for just anyone, he drawls. Addison takes a slow step backwards away from the point of Rook's sword, raising his hands to shoulder height in the traditionally move of those surrendering.
"Killing me gets you the momentary satisfaction of having slain your better, something I imagine you haven't felt in quite some time. Holding your sword may gain you much more."
"I do know why you are trying to kill me, you see. Why waste such a good asset as a spy dissatisfied with the current status quo?"
Inwardly, Addison curses himself. If this works...if this works he just became what he most feared.

Mordred ends up tripped, but when she gets back to her feet, she...
...doesn't attack the Cavalier. She just rushes back towards that stairwell entrance, trying to slam the door behind her to stall the Cavalier. Mordred must really, really want something inside the theatre!

"Oh, for the..." Cavalier mutters, and then he chases after Mordred. That theater's empty now, right? If the fight does end up being carried back inside, the bystanders are safe, aren't they? Everybody would have gotten out by now.
... Except that Cavalier hasn't seen Addison yet. Maybe it's good that they're moving back inside!

"Having slain my better?" Rook echoes, spitting out the final word like a laser bolt from a rifle. "What exactly makes you better than me? Your size? The fact that you were born to privilege rather than having to claw your way up to it? The fact that you fancy yourself a 'good person'?" Mocking, that last one. Mirage appears to have hit a sore spot.
"No, I've no time for double agents at the moment. They so easily become triple agents and I've no use for a spy I'll have to monitor so closely he'll be unable to function. Just die knowing that you offered to betray your people to save your own worthless hide," he snarls, thrusting with his rapier. It's a sloppier blow than he might otherwise have made, due partly to how pissed he is at the moment, and partly to the fact that there's no conceivable way Payne can escape anyway.

Addison can't keep from giving a pleased little smirk as Rook rants at him. That's not a sore spot, that's a big red button that begs to be poked as often as possible.
The actor's hands are still raised to just over shoulder height. When Rook makes that sloppy thrust with his rapier, Addison knocks it offline of a killing shot- with the dagger that heretofore was stuck in his shoulder. The rapier blade hits high, stabbing through just under the clavicle where it connects with the shoulder.
"Not for any of those reasons," Addison pants as he pushes himself forward on the blade and tries to grab the hand holding the rapier. He tries to stab the point of the dagger into Rook's elbow joint.
"Just. Because. I. Am."

Mordred races up the stairs and tries to grab Rook by his general collar region to drag him off. She has mulish stubbornness and meta-human strength backing her. Mordred seems to be scowling behind her mask as she snarls, "You can exterminate vermin later."

Cavalier chases after Mordred; the flight gives him the advantage of speed, but his need to stay low to the ground and fly through hallways does a lot to remove that advantage. He pulls to an aerial stop as Mordred up grabs Rook.
Whom Addison is fighting.
Cavalier tries to insert himself between the Decepticons and Addison. "You know I don't intend to let ever of you just run off, right? But thanks for holding the bird down, Scourge," he declares, and attempts to blast Rook.
