Grimlock, by now is flying just out of the general area of Autobase, with the Prime from hell on his tail, and hopefully some backup in the form of Slag and Fleetwind. He weaves from side to side a bit, trying to not be predictable in his flight patterns before opening his radio to the other two.
//Um. Fleet-bot, you know good flight...um...what word...man...moover...manure...fast-moving thingies that keep us from getting shot?//

Someone has finally caught up to the party, albeit without an invitation. Dark blue wings catch the light as a sleek jet flashes across the sky toward our heroes.
// Hey, Fleet! I gotcher back, and da Grimster, too! Dat is you runnin' wit' the other guys chasing you, right? Don' wanna shoot the wrong guys, // yelled Duskwing-3 over the Allied Band.

Fleetwind-3 will not be joining your regularly scheduled thread! However, he can hear you on the radio.
//Unfortunately, Dusking, it looks like I've got my back! Sorry, Grimlock. I've got to shake off my double before I can be much use to you.//

Grimlock may or may not have realized that Rodimus Prime can fly.
But he can.
However, he can't fly fast, not even as fast as Grimlock, and though he lets loose a blast from time to time, the Dinobot is quickly outdistancing him.
For all that he's not yet accomplished anything effective, however, Rodimus doesn't look too annoyed. In fact, from time to time, it's his laugh that's carried on the winds towards the Dinobot, not his roars of anger.

Speaking of Dinobots, the other Dinobot is also flying after his commander erratically, blaster drawn and ready to beamspam anything that so much as annoys him.
But first he has to ask something.
//When him Rodimoose learn fly?// Slag asks, halfway between curiosity and rage.

Grimlock looks over, confused. //What you talking bout?// he asks, dodging one of the blasts, then hearing one of those horrible laughs. Grimlock looks back, and just boggles.
//...me Grimlock plan not quite going to plan. Fleet-bot gone and now Fake Rodimus can fly...//
With that, Grimlock showers the airspace behind him with stunner laser fire, then turns back around, attempting to be evasive.

// Fleet? I dunno which one a youse is which! Whadda I do? // Duskwing-3 queries on the Allied band as he flies erratically after Rodimus Prime the Eviller.
In lieu of anything better to do (or rather, his underclocked processor still hasn't caught up with events), Duskwing-3 slaloms behind the Prime to keep from over-taking him and peppers him with laser fire.
Even he doesn't really expect to do damage against the Demon Prime's armor, but his CPU is still running on S.O.P. and Duskwing-3 has no better ideas... and is that Da Boss coming after them, too?
// Boss, dat you? // he asks on the D-3 band.

She could go chasing after the Dinobot and blast at him uselessly for a good while like a good background seeker. She could.
Skystrike doesn’t, however. Instead she rolls and veers off of Slag’s trail and sends two missiles Duskwing-3’s way. Fighting Slag was wasting good energy— why bother with someone she couldn’t hope to take down alone when there were easier people to maim nearby?

Rodimus Prime is being followed and fired upon by enemy Duskwing, who is being chased by ally Skystrike. He glances back, but decides to let the Decepticon deal with the Decepticon, despite the hits against his back scored by Duskwing. At this point, the damage is relatively minor and easily overlooked.
He does take the effort to shield his face from the laser fire Grimlock sends his way, though it's obvious he looses a lot of his usual agility in the air. Still, even as black marks form across one arm, the other is lifted, and he fires an electroblast bolt towards the Dinobot leader.
"Come now! After all that taunting, all those brave words, and that's the best you can do?" he laughs.

OOC: Posting due to Slag timeout. ----------
Grimlock swerves to the side as the electroblast comes, taking a grazing hit on the side of his leg and arm. Hurts a bit, but he ignores it - He's got a job to do, and that's to drag Fake Rodimus out to the desert where everyone can gang up on him.

Still in jet mode, Starscream chases after the Dinobots--only to discover a Duskwing is opening fire at the evil Rodimus.
The 'good' Decepticons would attack on the 'evil' Autobots, sure, but Duskwing has attacked allies before. So really, there is no way to confirm that this is in fact the Duskwing that is allied with the Autobots.
However, as Starscream opens fire with a series of laser blasts on him, he discovers that he really doesn't care.
OOC: I know my presence here is starting to make things incredibly unbalanced, but Starscream will be posing out soon.

Laser bolts clip Duskwing's tail and score his wings; he slaloms and dives away from his attacker.
"Whoa, hey, you definitely ain't the boss!" Duskwing-3 exclaims. What to do now?
The dark blue and purple Seeker dives for the deck, skimming just above the alien trees. Perhaps this evil Starscream will make a mistake chasing him and slam into the ground. Duskwing isn't really good at evaluating odds, but that's standard procedure on Cybertron when outnumbered in the air--lose 'em in the canyons.
Oh, and call for backup.
On the Allied Band, Duskwing-3 yells, // BOSS! I got an Evil You on my six! Help! //
Hadn't he seen some canyons over this way?
Shouldn't he be helping Grimlock? Duskwing's thoughts hadn't gotten that far.

The missiles explode off somewhere. Not that it really mattered, now there was a Starscream and a Duskwing to deal with. Skystrike fires up her thrusters and gladly adds her own laser fire into the mix, trailing the shots after the purple and blue seeker’s tail fins with aggressive enthusiasm. Strange that— she’d not been so excited about shooting at people since her rookie days.
She does have enough wariness to keep an optic on Starscream though, and makes sure to steer herself clear of the Decepticon commander’s path. It simply wouldn’t do to be downed by friendly fire at the beginning of a battle.

My, my, what a confusing mess that is going on behind him. But Rodimus chooses to leave the jets to the jets - the Priime isn't really at his best in the sky, anyway.
"We seem to be gaining quite a following," Prime smirks at Grimlock. "But then, who's on your side, and who's on mine?"
And who's on their own side?
OOC: Desert now please? I wanna get Roddy out of the sky.

Slag is generally ignoring most of the commotion behind him, but as they approach the desert, the Dinobot finally realises something.
They're not even bothering about him. Don't they see him as a threat? Slag roars "YOU STOOPID JETS!", as he turns around and stops in mid air. Ignoring the Prime, Slag instead fires towards the jet firefight, in an attempt to at least hit something and slow it down a bit.
