OOC: Sorry for the delay, folks. Hadn't realised AniJetfire posted.
"Rodger!" is Holi's answer to Perceptor and Jetfire both, a stern look on his face. He doesn't chirp; he doesn't use a sunny tone. It's all business now. He hardly misses a step as he hustles across the hangar, scooping up Perceptor and cradling the microscope in one arm. There's a job to be done now. No time for much courtesy.
He does try to mind his feet as he boards the elderly plane, however. Don't want to gouge up Jetfire's fuselage.

"That's a good lad, then. Now--" Jetfire breaks off as the young twins combine so flashily, and if a jet could be said to cock its head, that's almost exactly the impression the old Blackbird seems to give. "All these new-fangled design modifications. Wee little furry fleshling-wannabes, blocky-stocky warriors who shouldn't be able to scratch their own ailerons, much less turn a corkscrew on a credit they way they do, and now components? Aren't there any respectable mech designs left?" he grumbles grouchily to himself - Holi and Perceptor should hear it all quite clearly from within his cockpit. "Bollocks."
The whole jet shudders like a dog giving himself a shake as the doors to the bay secure at a single radioed prompt. "Ah well, then. Try to keep up, lads!" he calls, firing his boosters as soon as the doors have opened enough that his wings will clear, even if that means turning sideways to squeak through.
By the Allspark, it will be GOOD to be back out here in the great beyond!

"Thank you Holi," Perceptor offers as he is carefully scooped up. "Well, there are certainly aesthetical variances from reality to reality. I imagine that 'respectable' is quite subjective based upon one's point of origination," he replies, keeping his tone light and devoid of notes of either amusement or irritation.
He even manages to stifle his small gasp of surprise as Jetfire thrusts himself out of the bay almost before Holi has fully settled himself, it seems.

After forming up, the superjet hovers in the bay, turning slightly towards the elder Jetfire, speaking up with both voices put together. "Hey, we are being most respectable! We use our sirs and ma'ams as we should!"
However, the elder Jetfire has taken off by the time they finish their sentence, so the twin-jet fires off all four boosters, shooting out the bay door in a stream of blue and orange thrust.
//Ah, but is you who will be needing to try and keep up, Jetfire-sir!//

Holi indeed hasn't managed to strap in – the harness doesn't seem to properly fit over his bulky torso – by the time Jetfire practically catapults from the bay, so he lets the force of launch press him back into the seat and just makes sure he has a secure hold on Perceptor. Can't have the doctor bouncing around the cockpit. Once he has a chance, he'll try again with the harness.
"ETA, Jetfire, sir?" he asks even as he cranks up his receivers to get an idea of the traffic down below. And maybe pick up on the Autobots, too, to take some of that load off Omega Supreme's shoulders. The twins outside don't exactly register on his proverbial radar; why, his team are the only ones on Star Saber's crew who don't combine with someone or something else. Combination is so… so normal. And they only have two members in their team! Just two! Nothing special about that at all.

// Ah, is that right, young lads? // Jetfire-the-elder chuckles good naturedly. // I'll try to remember that. //
The old Seeker might be wearing an Earth aerofighter type mode right now, but he's still a long-range Seeker. A sleek mercenary doom-bringer, and age hasn't slowed his wings down like it has his legs. The young twins may find that they are going to have to work hard to back up their boasting.
"At this pace, Lad? We're about a day out. But that still puts us ahead of the Event Horizon by a good clip," he replies.

"Do not worry, Holi," Perceptor offers gently. "They will look after each other until we arrive and can assit. Springer is quite adept at seeing to the welfare of... of the less, ah... combatively oriented members of his team." You know, like Clipper. And Long Haul.
Yeah, Perceptor is worried, too.

Time-skip to planet-arrival unless someone objects!
Flying in space can be fun, for awhile. Flying in space for a day while doing nothing more interesting than gradually approaching a planet? Not so fun. Especially since Safeguard wasn't allowed to do any fancy flying tricks because it would slow them down.
//I am spying with my little optical sensors, something that is beginning with 'P'...// The answer is, of course, planet. Just like it has been half the other times he spied something. Boredom breeds annoyance.
The combined jet swerves around a satellite - one of the many hunks of metal of varying sizes and functions orbiting around Pz-Zazz. //Ooh! Now I am spying something beginning with 's'!// Another few minutes and they'll bit hitting the atmosphere.

Holi frets. He can't really help it; he tries to keep from stewing too much, but once he sorts out a plan of action – and thinks better of it, tearing it down and reorganising it from step one… three more times – there isn't much else for him to do. He can't even get into Safeguard's game because he has work looming ahead of him.
By the time they start encountering satellites, Holi is so tightly wound, his windows are buzzing in their frames. So many things could have gone wrong already….

It had started so subtly that Jetfire hadn't even noticed, too busy enjoying the feel of vacuum and streaming ions over his wings, and keeping track of the youngsters keeping pace. Slowly, though, he becomes aware of... something... tickling.
Finally, Jetfire can no longer contain himself, and he begins to chuckle softly, more a low rumble than anything, but there is definite mirth in his voice when he speaks.
"Holi, lad... s-stop. You'll twitch me nuts loose," he manages. "Botanica just tightened all those bolts."
He pauses to try and radio ahead to the Pz-Zazz approach control - assuming there is one - to identify themselves and request an approach vector. May as well play by whetever rules they have there.
"If you fret yourself weary, lad, you won't be any help to anyone. What's done is done; we'll start setting them right."

"Have you managed to make contact with anyone on the surface, Holi?" Perceptor asks, finally breaking his lengthy silence.

A slight increase in thrust, and Safeguard pulls alongside elder Jetfire.
"No need to be worrying! Springer, Optimus, and Sentinel Prime-sir are being down there!"
...okay, maybe that last bit is something to worry about. Especially with Sentinel's radio freakout - but it can't be that bad, right? Sentinel Prime freaks out about almost everything!
"And....well, if anything has been going wrong, we can be fixing it when we get there!" Hopefully, this is helpful. Being reassuring to others that aren't themselves isn't something that the twins are so good with.

Hey, look, it's Skyfire again! He comes swooping up in a long, eccentric orbit that just skims the atmosphere. He thinks he recognizes Jetfire's profile, but who is the other one escorting him? He makes a short-range narrowcast targeted at Jetfire, on the Autobot general frequency:
// Skyfire to Jetfire. FIrst, who is your escort? I don't recognize the profile. Second, there is a large space station catering to interstellar visitors. The Decepticon ship is docked there. I have been maintaining radio silence because of the proximity of that vessel. I am transmitting a vector to you that will permit you to dock on the far side of the station without getting spotted by the 'Con ship. Getting permission of the locals may take some finagling, though. I'll join you when you land. //
---- OOC: continues to be skippable. Vector transmitted, if transmission accepted.

"Hm?" Holi blinks and looks up from his knees at the panels in front of him – they seem as likely as any other way to address Old Jetfire from his own interior. "I'm–?" he starts, stopping again when the request fully clicks. "Oh. Oh!" His first instinct is to bow as he apologises, but he can't do it properly while sitting and he can't really stand up to do it. He settles for nodding a couple times and hopes that's good enough in Old Jetfire's eyes. "I'm sorry!" Holi adds. "I'm very sorry, Jetfire, sir! It won't happen again!" And he promptly stops moving altogether.
But now he's overcompensating, reminds an old, patient voice at the back of his mind. Overcompensation is no good, either. Right! So Holi relaxes – a little bit, anyway – and looks at the microscope in his lap. Then heaves a distressed sigh at himself, because he's been so preoccupied with worrying he hasn't even thought to try hailing anyone in particular.
"…Trying it now, sir," he says with some chagrin.

"That's right, lads!" Jetfire heartily agrees. Try to keep it from breaking, then fix it if they're too late. They can do it! They're the good guys! Good guys win, right?
// Greetings Skyfire, // the older jet hails cheerfully enough. // That's the young lads, Jetfire and Jetstorm. Strange engineering that's cropped up since my day, what with combining together and all that rot. Strange engineering. //
Jetfire-the-elder receives the vector transmitted by Skyfire and files it away, altering his flight path to take him in that direction. // Not allowed to head dirtside then without docking on the station first? // he asks. Be nice to skip that rigamarole and just head down before Holi wears a hole in his cockpit.
"No worries, Holi. No worries. I was teasing, anyway. Keep yourself worked up, though, and you'll break something. I know. Listen to the voice of experience, lad, and try not to borrow trouble before we get there. I'm sure there will be enough of it already without borrowing any more." Wow. Reassuring. Jetfire should probably work on his proverbial bedside manner.
