While the old mech who had hobbled into the huge bay that Omega Supreme had recently occupied had been slow, corroded, and shed parts at an alarming rate, the craft that he'd transformed into is in much better shape. A sleek, sinister, perfect SR-71 Blackbird now waits, not a speck of rust upon the entire fuselage, nor a drop of shed fluids staining the decking.
"One minute and counting," Jetfire bellows. "Wheels up in fifty-nine seconds. Anyone without their own wings had best be aboard by then!"

From one corridor, Perceptor jogs in, still tucking equipment and basic supplies - circuit boards, a few smallish spools of general cabling and tubing, and other raw repair materials - into every cubic millimeter of subspace that he can manage to stuff something into. No telling what kinds of materials they will be able to find down on the planet's surface, or how willing the residents might be in parting with them.
"I am prepared," he declares, crossing over to the Blackbird swiftly. "Although, I do wish that there was some manner that we could transport additional fuel to assist with returning Omega Supreme to optimal function."
One thing at a time. Repairs first, fuel concerns later.

Jetfire runs his preflight checks, something he doesn't normally bother with in atmo flight. Something he really doesn't plan on skipping if he's going to be making planetfall. Been a long time since he's done a re-entry. Maybe he should think about giving up his Earth alt mode and returning to his old, original Seeker alt for this little jaunt?
He's rather gotten fond of these wings, though.
"Ready? What for? Have a set of wings tucked in there somewhere that I'm not seeing?" he asks distractedly of the bright red Autobot standing beside him now. Towering over him, actually. Bloody near as big as one of the Primes, he is, and acting as if he expects to hitch a ride with Jetfire?
As if!
"Been told to shove it up my exhaust a time or two in my life, but I really don't think you're gonna fit there. Or anywhere."

"No, of course not," Perceptor replies, confused. "I am a scientist, not an-- oh, yes. My apologies. I am Perceptor. I do not believe that we have officially been introduced as yet."
"With your permission, I would like to request your assistance with Transport to Omega Supreme's location." He transforms, initiating the mass-shifting protocols that he uses so rarely when he transforms. In a moment, there is a tiny red microscope that is smaller than one of Jetfire's own optics, sitting demurely upon the floor of the bay.
"I believe that I should fit admirably now?"

Permission? Assist him with transport downside? He's as big as a bloody Prime! Just how in the bloody, bleeding he--
Jetfire is so surprised by the large mech suddenly compacting down into such s tiny little package, that the hydraulics on his landing gear fail, and he belly flops upon the bay floor with a massive CLANG and a startled curse from the foulest parts of the Cybertronian docks spilling from his vocal processors, ending with a howl of:
"BOLLOCKS!"
His parts shift a little more roughly than normal as he transforms, pushing himself up from his hands and knees stiffly to hunch over and peer at Perceptor's mass-shifted alt form with widened optics. He gently pokes at the tiny microscope with one finger, dismayed when Perceptor's actual mass matches with his apparent mass. "You can't do that! You can't bloodly well break physics like that! It's not natural!"
Nevermind that Jetfire can spacebridge. That's different. Totally!

Perceptor curbs his reflex to transform back when Jetfire flops upon the deck, himself startled into immobility for that crucial moment by the old jet's profanity.
"Break physics?" Perceptor rolls backward a bit, just out of range of that poking appendage before Jetfire inadvertantly damages his precious lenses. "I am merely shunting the mass I do not immediately require into subspace. I assure you that it is quite natural." Neither Jazz nor Bumblebee had seemed this concerned by his mass-shifting abilities before? Of course, he isn't entirely certain that they had witnessed such a dramatic demonstration of that ability before, either.
"It is not a common ability in my reality - to shift one's excess mass into subspace - however, nearly all mechanisms from my reality have access to some level of subspace for weapons and tool storage. I would be pleased to discuss the physics involved with this phenomena, if you wish. After we have returned safely with Omega Supreme and all hands aboard?" he adds pointedly.

Subspace? Not natural, this isn't!
"After. Aye. Yeah. Of course," he grumbles, collapsing back into his Blackbird form - the hydraulics hold this time. He can't help but shudder, though, as he considers what damage the Fallen could achieve if he had access to such technology. To be able to compact himself into such a tiny, easily hidden, easily overlooked package...
"Have to have Holi bring you aboard," he mutters. "No loading ramp with these wings, you know."

A bit away from where Grampa Blackbird bickers with Perceptor, a rather scared Jetstorm carefully opens the door and creeps in. He looks like he just fell into a pit full of Decepticon leaders all by his lonesome. This is the one sharing his brother's name?! How shameful! Not even Sentinel Prime's vocaliser is that corroded!

Pushing into the docking bay after his brother, Jetfire is looking decidedly grumpy. His namesake may not be a foul Decepticon (anymore) like Jetstorm's, but he is apparently rather foul of mouth. He is not sure that he approves of this. Not that his approval has any bearing on the existence or naming of the older Jetfire.
His optics widen in surprise as he finally takes in the Blackbird that shares his name. He hadn't expected the other Jetfire to be so much larger than his own roughly car-sized jet-self.
Shaking off his grumpiness and surprise, he steps forward and waves. "Hello! We are being here for mission!"

Holi is only this far behind everyone else because his legs are so much shorter! Maybe if he'd thought to transform, he'd have been along sooner. But he's here now and they haven't left yet, so maybe he's just fashionably late.
"Holi reporting!" he cries as he nearly falls through the doorway in his haste. "Ready for duty!"

"Excellent timing," Perceptor declares, not only to Holi, but also the jet-twins.
"Holi, I will require your assistance, please. Jetfire... err... The elder Jetfire, that is, has consented to transporting me as well as you to the planet's surface," he explains, rolling forward towards the cockpit end of the large black plane.
"I trust that none of you have difficulties with planetary re-entry?"

In his defense, jet-twins, the old codger isn't normally that foul processored. Of course, any at all would be more than the younger Jetfire would be.
"Of course not," he replies with more confidence than he probably should. "I'm antique, not deactivated!" His turbines spin up to a low rumble. "Soon as you're loaded up, Holi, lad, we'll be burning ions."

Skyfire is flying ahead, well ahead and as he vectors into orbit--
He sights something very large and rather nasty looking ahead. With a rather familiar giant-sized purple logo.
Skyfire rolls and burns, thrusting out of there, racing to put the bulk of the planet between him and the warship before someone over there wakes up and starts firing. He just might make it...
// Skyfire to 'Event Horizon': the Decepticon ship is here. Transmitting it's observed vector to you. Will continue search from counter-orbit. Skyfire out. //

Jetstorm finally shakes the shock off when his brother announces their presence. He wouldn't mind mingling a bit, but they have a mission to do!
So, with tenacity and eagerness, he darts forward - "I bet I am beating you to planet, bro--"
A thought gives him pause.
"...much as I am wanting to race, perhaps we should be teaming up to get to the planet as fast as we can be managing. You know how Sentinel Prime is about new planets," he says, turning back around and transforming, hovering a bit. Hopefully, Jetfire gets where Jetstorm is going with this.

Jetfire winces slightly as he imagines Sentinel Prime's reaction to crash-landing on a new planet. Allspark-forbid the inhabitants are organic... Shaking his head, he says, "You are having very good point, Brother." He flashes Jetstorm a grin before transforming himself. "Also, if Decepticons are being spotted, maybe there will be skidplate to kick." Hovering, the little orange and white jet joins his twin in the air, and the pair of them proceed to perform a small, flashy aerial dance, drawn together by electrical forces. With a final flash of light, the two emerge in their combined form... which looks a whole lot like their separate forms lying belly-to-belly.
