Rodimus's hand is, in fact, captured, but that's partially because he suddenly stiffens as he gives the look of someone reliving a very unpleasant memory.
He hesitates and looks down, though not at Mirage, not at... anything.
Damn it, I'm not going to let you ruin this. You would push back, wouldn't you? So I... won't.
Rodimus seems to come back into the here and now. He smiles faintly, though there's something... haunted to his expression.
"Lead away, but I take no responsibility for any stepped-on feet."

Mirage is unusually observant, but one doesn't need to be unusually observant to notice that reaction. Immediately, his demeanor changes to serious from flirting, and his expression to one of concern. "Rodimus...," he says softly, voice questioning as he raises his free hand to the Prime's cheek, to try and just barely rest it there. It seems for a moment that he will say more, but then the spy shakes his head. "No. I'll ask later, and trust you to tell me to stop if whatever pain is haunting you becomes too much," he murmurs, "We've had entirely too much serious conversation tonight." He smiles then, perhaps a bit sadly, and then gently tries to guide Rodimus back into a starting position before gliding back into a dance. OOC: yeah, so, I'm a horrible fangirl. Mirage is trying to lead Rodimus in a faster pace version of this dance: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UAx0ibZkm0&playnext_from=TL&videos=JZ_Z57G7p10

Rodimus smirks faintly as Mirage says he won't press the issue.
"Than- whoa!"
The last word happens as he's guided back into the starting position. "Eh-heh," is his only response as he begins dancing, doing his best to mirror Mirage's moves. His unfamiliarity with the dance means that he doesn't really know what he's supposed to do at points where he shouldn't mirror, however.
So sadly, he probably doesn't look much like the Youtube clip.

It isn't about doing the moves perfectly. It's about enjoying the moment, and so long as Rodimus manges the steps well enough not to bring them both down in a heap, Mirage could care less about they look.
Hmmm, come to think of it, going down with Rodimus could be fun.
In a pile. On the floor. It would be funny!
But Rodimus is surely graceful enough to keep them from that situation.
As the song ends, Mirage brings the dance to a close as well, though he switches up a bit. Normally, the lead curls his partner in close, back to his front, arm around the partner's waist. Mirage attempts to do the reverse, twiling slightly into and against Rodimus. He smiles up at the Prime, hoping to see that shadow at least somewhat abated.
"You get to pick the next dance style," he says, smirking, as the music switches back to a more grinding melody.

The shadow's not only abated, it's fled.
At least from the young Prime's expression. Rodimus slips at times, but he's still more used than not to keeping his demons to himself. Which is really for the best, considering what they do when they get out.
He smirks down at Mirage as the other curls up against him, then just gives one amused snort.
When Mirage tells him that he gets to pick the next dance style, he tilts his head for half a moment as though considering. Then, without a word, smirks, shrugs, and immediately starts into a more 'traditional' Industrial dance style, heavy on arm movements and rather elbow-centric, though he still gives Mirage an amused smirk, waiting to see the other's reaction as he dances.
OOC: Feel free to Youtube 'Industrial Dance' yourselves - I may be able to sneak on here from work, but I can't get to Youtube to dig up some examples. ¬_¬

Mirage's reaction is typical Mirage- a quirked brow and a slight tilt to the head as he watches Rodimus dance. After a few moments of study though, he smirks and starts to dance in a similar manner, and the movements don't look forced. A bit more graceful, less exaggerated, more fluid, perhaps, then some of the styles going on around the pair, but Mirage's moves still fit in to both music and mood.
He moves to dance in front of Rodimus, as close as he can and still accommodate their various moves. A bit longer and Rodimus might notice that Mirage's moves start to counterpoint his own.
"Mmm, a similar style of dance was popular at this one club in Kalis, though the music was much different," he says, smirking again, optics twinkling, "I did get out of Iacon on occasion you know. Just because I'm an ivory tower mech, that doesn't mean I mind getting a little dirty, now and then."

Rodimus Prime's optics flicker with surprise.
"Is there a reason I should assume otherwise?" Then he thinks over the encounter earlier, and, well, everything.
"So, uhm, you were... 'slumming it'?"
He keeps up the dancing as the song changes yet again... and really, he can keep this up a fair while, but eventually they'll have to leave!

"You could say that," Mirage answers, continuing to dance as long as Rodimus does.
Alas, they really do have to leave at some point. Not that Mirage is in any hurry. Rodimus seems to be finally having that fun Mirage promised him, so Mirage will wait until Rodimus decides he's ready to leave.
As they are walking off the floor, Mirage tries to wrap an arm around the young Prime's waist and lean his head on against Rodimus's shoulder.
"You really are a treasure," he sighs, "All things considered, have you enjoyed yourself?"

It's strange, that Rodimus can be as vain and cocky as he is (and make no mistake, he is), but when confronted with someone else acknowledging the things he believes without prompting, he starts to get embarrassed.
So he just smiles sheepishly as he allows the spy to lean against his shoulder. He nods. "Overall, I'd say yes. Granted, there were bits I'd just as soon have avoided... but it's probably best that I dealt with them, anyway." Then he barks a laugh and adds, "Even if I didn't really deal with them all like I should have."

Mirage looks up at Rodimus, "Actually, I think you did fine, love. Much better than some others would, I'm sure. We're very different, and from different backgrounds; it is only to be expected that we would clash on some topics."
He smiles, "Trust me, you really did handle things well."
"Now, much as it pains me, I think it is time for us to take our leave," his smile turns a bit sad, "We've been out playing long enough to set tongues to wagging, were we in another setting."
"I just have to settle up our check. Unless...you wanted to remain a bit longer and talk?"

Rodimus considers, and then shakes his head. He offers Mirage a broad smile.
"Not that I mind talking with you, but they'll be other times for that." Rodimus may well be implying things he doesn't intend to here.
Perhaps.
"Let's head out."

Mirage is an optimistic mech, and quite vain, himself. Of course, Rodimus is implying that he'd like to talk with Mirage again! Could there have been any doubt?
Mirage stops at one of the bars and asks for his check. It takes only a moment for the bartender to pull it up, and he hands it over to Mirage, whose optics narrow. There is somthing under the bill. He takes out the appropriate number of credits, does some quick calculations, and then adds a good thirty percent tip to the bill. Considering that there are notations of exactly which workers provided what service, he's confident that the tip will be split appropriately.
It's a considerable sum, but Mirage hands over the money as if it was nothing. He subspaces the receipt- and the envelope peeking out from underneath it and makes to tug Rodimus out of the crush and toward the relatively more open and less crowded exit alcove.
//Whatever that is, I don't want to open it in the crowd.//

//Not something you ordered, I take it,// Rodimus Prime answers. He starts by following Mirage, but quickly finds it easier to forge ahead, using his size, strength, and surety of step to forge a path. While he's curious, he does not rush forward. Best to keep appearances, after all.

Once the pair gets out of the crush proper, Mirage slips into a nook along the wall, leaning his back against the wall and trying to tug Rodimus in close to him. The idea is to present the illusion of an intimate moment as well as conceal whatever it is someone wished to pass along to Mirage in secret.
He opens the envelope and pulls out something similar to a ticket, sandwiched between a folded paper. Mirage unfolds the note, and after a moment's examination of both it and the other item, he smiles broadly and laughs.
"Like I was just saying, you handled things perfectly well," he smirks, showing Rodimus the items.
The ticket is a single-use, open-ended pass to the VIP floor, allowing the bearer and his or her companion full privileges of the floor for a single evening. The other is a note, written in a flowing script that reads simply: Our apologies.

Rodimus brightens and glances down at Mirage. "Well, that settles that." He pauses. "You going to use that tonight, or make a second trip?" It's been a long night, and Rodimus is getting a bit tired, but given the reason for what they're trying to do, he's willing to stick around if need be.
He hmmms with consideration, and murmurs, "Might be easier if we're... unconstrained, anyway, so I guess that did work out."
