Lugnut appeared adequately distracted by the courtesan, though Hellbender decided to keep half an optic on that business in case she managed to say something to touch off the obsessive Decepticon's temper. So Lugnut had a romantic side? Seriously?
Hellbender merely nodded in acknowledgment; he'd learned that Shockwave preferred that Hellbender not offer too many of his own interjections and opinions at these little meanings. So the boss was working on suborning another Autobot? Interesting. Hellbender despised traitors... on his side. Almost as much as he hated Unicron and anything to do with him, like his bottom-feeding cultists. Autobot traitors might be useful, though. They'd have to be disposed of afterwards; you couldn't trust a traitor. A traitor once would be a traitor again.

Shockwave is doing a very good job of ignoring Lugnut and the odd female. Shockwave does not understand the appeal of non-Cybertronians. Hell, he doesn't understand the appeal of Cybertronians. Such things are only to be indulged in when an advantage might be hand from the doing.
"In my reality the war is ended, and we have been at peace, without factions, for several vorns," Shockwave says, "Decepticon and Autobot have ceased to be defining factors of our race. But as you yourself have pointed out, our current groups have not moved beyond such things. So one does what one must, and deals with the consequences."
"So, there are no Decepticons in your reality? You are at peace, or your enemies use a different name?" Shockwave asks.

Cha'Lios is a creature of fleeting delight. Appeal is only a temporary interest, valid to be chased for the time it lasts. "Yes, you should look them up, you won't be disappointed." With this, she winks.
Something about what Shockwave says doesn't feel right with Skid-Z. But he can't lay a hand on it. 'Must be stress'.
"There are no Decepticons in my reality, but I do believe that there are in some cases.... I may hope that your troops aren't only numbers for you, sir?" Skid-Z doesn't see any problem repeating what is common knowledge already.
"One does what one must is something I've heard before." And just now it confirmed to him that things aren't about to change from the higher-up levels. "Sir, perhaps we are due to continue on our ways? I would love to stay and talk some more, but I don't think that that philosophy allows us to...."

"I...." Quickly, Lugnut glances at the other two, before nodding at Skid-Z' companion again. "I will think about it." Oh wait, Autobot. That's right. He gives the girl one final courteous nod and turns to face Skid-Z again, being a good bodyguard once more. But Lugnut doesn't feel bad; Shockwave isn't Megatron, after all.

Hellbender gave Skid-Z a sharp look. He's not a number, thank you. An experimental project, yes, not a number. He drifted a bit to Shockwave's flank and forward; the Autobot sounded a bit skittish, and Lord Shockwave hadn't indicated he was to leave yet.
He was still a bit puzzled over the byplay between the companion and Lugnut; genders having anything to do with relationships was still a new, not much used concept to Hellbender.

"My troops are each quite important to me, though every commander has his favorites," Shockwave says softly, and it isn't a lie; even the canon fodder serves its purpose, after all.
He also just dropped Skid-Z a hint about who may be leading the Decepticons now.
Shockwave inclines his head slightly toward Skid-Z, "Of course. If you do not feel comfortable enough or are too afraid of your fellows to risk an extended conversation, I do understand. Some of them, well...they have quite the temper."
"However, if you are truly interested in that extended conversation, you do have my frequency. Do feel free to use it," Shockwave says, gesturing to his bodyguards as he starts to move past Skid-Z.
He is not moving so fast that he can not turn back, should Skid-Z not take the opportunity to run and instead wish more conversation. Shockwave also makes a radio call.

"That they have" Skid-Z confirms. Hey, he witnessed first hand! "I'll keep you in mind, Sir, have a good day" He takes Cha'Lios by the hand, letting the Cons pass so that they too can continue on their way. --------------- Leaving thread.

Jetstorm arrives after receiving the radio call, having been doing nothing exciting but people-watching. He's still wearing his goofy little gangster outfit, having taken quite a liking to it. He darts along before setting down by Shockwave and his bodyguards to report in. He gives a bit of a wave to Lugnut, and then to Hellbender in turn. Next to the to larger bots, he's not even sure anyone else would notice he's there.
"Heya, boss," Jetstorm tips his hat to Shockwave, and speaks in a low voice, "Which mark do you want me to tail?"

Lugnut watches the Autobot skulk off, glad to see him gone, though he feels conflicted on the departure of Skid-Z' companion. But before he can sink too far into a pit of memories, Jetstorm of all mechs snaps him out of it. He stands at attention and nods at the small flier, before resuming to watch the Pz-Zazzians that walk past them.

Skipping Hellbender due to timeout
Shockwave watches the racer leave, waiting to resume his walk until one of the interested parties arrive as he requested. Jetstorm is prompt enough, which pleases the gunformer.
Of course, after what Shockwave put the little Vehicon through, displeasing Shockwave is probably low on Jetstorms's Want List.
"Thank you Jetstorm. The Autobot went in that direction," he inclines his head, "and is a rather gaudily colored sports car. Take care, however, for I have a feeling he is both intelligent and observant."
"I am merely interested in his behavioral patterns. It will likely be rather a dull assignment, but I'm sure you will manage."
He gestures to Hellbender and Lugnut. "Let us continue on."
Shockwave begins walking, assuming his shadows will follow.

Hellbender gave the area one last sweep of his optics before dutifully following in Shockwave's wake.
Wait, what was that? Hellbender scanned the eastern rooftop out of the corner of his optic; something--someone had moved furtively across it, ducking out of sight before Hellbender got a good lock on them. // Sir, might be someone watching us from up top left. Can't confirm it from heah, though. //

"That way? Hmm," Jetstorm peers over in said direction and then taps a finger on his mouth plate. He looks over the area and tries to spot cover along the way. "Ok, behavior will be noted, and of course, anything out of the ordinary," he says. He whirls a bit around, looking back over the area they're in before he once more salutes to Shockwave, then Lugnut and Hellbender in turn.
Then, he flits out of sight into the shadows of a building.

Now what kind of shadow would Lugnut be if he didn't stick close to Shockwave? He gives Jetstorm a quick salute before following the cyclops, keeping an eye out for any other drunken, frisky goatmen.
But then Hellbender speaks out on the shortband. Lugnut growls softly, all five optics scouring the rooftops and trying to get a lock on whatever it was that Hellbender saw. //I can go up there and get a closer look.//

Shockwave continues on, not pausing at Hellbender's warning. They still have plenty of time to make their appointment, but not so much that then can afford another delay of significant time.
//I am certain we are being observed. We are the new group on the block, so to speak, and yet we- and the Autobots- have been quite visible.//
//Keep alert, but take no action unless the observer proves hostile.//
OOC: yeah, so need to timeskip on Shox's next post to the meeting, if you two are agreeable.

Hellbender continued in Shockwave's wake, his shoulder gun slewing restlessly. Underground, he could hear a mole sneeze miles away; out here in the open, in the noisy, thronging city, his sensors were either so short-range as to be useless or so overloaded on ambient noise and traffic vibrations as to be damped down to the point of uselessness, and he was reduced to standard Mark I optics. At least the head they were in was firmly attached and his neck rotator worked just fine. That had not always been the case.
// Ah reckon we can't delay to check it out right now. Just keep an optic tuned; Ah didn't actually see a weapon, so maybe he was just hidin' from somethin' else. //
