Hellbender jumped back, knocking his chair over as he got free of the table and twisted slightly, presenting one of his armor shrouds to the lashing tongue of flame. The flames splashed across the deep-mining worm armor, scorching the paint but going no deeper, baffled by the heavy armor.
Hellbender muttered, "Saw this coming..." as his shoulder-gun slewed around to cover the two thugs. He briefly considered picking up the table and using it to smash the flame-thing flat, but spilling the other boss's dinner might impede negotiations a bit. The cutters lining his arms revved up as he got ready to test the corporeality of the flame being.
"<Boss, how hard do you want these guys to go down? I got no clue how repairable they are.>"

Well, good thing that Lugnut hasn't actually sat down yet. The rabbit man has an obvious advantage over Lugnut with his speed, but the zealot has a few tricks of his own.
Lugnut thrusts his arms out and attempts to grab the rabbit. Should he succeed, the base of his lower arm will start rotating rapidly, burning off the clothes there before it launches Mazinger style, knocking the rabbit back again.

Shockwave makes not so much as a twitch when Bovos sets his guards in opposition to his own. The move was expected, of course, a rather normal way of dealing with such negotiations. It is why Shockwave brought along the two mechs he did.
<Hold your own, for the time being. Avoid fatal damage if possible, as that is not their intent either. It is merely a test of strength. A draw would be the more politic outcome for both parties.>
He pushes his own chair back from the table, neatly avoiding getting caught by either the rabbit's leap or the elemental fire.
"A test tells me as much as it tells you, and I appreciate your getting down to the point in such a succinct manner," he says to Bovos, standing and stepping out of the crush, closer to the bar on the right side of the room.
"Shall we continue our own negotiations while they spar in the more mundane manner?"

"Indeed. That would be a more... efficient use of our time, I think," Bovos says, calmly placing his utensils on his plate. He lifts both the plate and his goblet from the table just moments before a stray kick from the rabbit sends the table sliding towards the opposite wall, though Bovos's own expression gives no suggestion that anything is out of the norm at all.
Because it isn't.
He casually moves to stand next to Shockwave at the bar, setting his plate and cup down before sitting down himself.
"Though I must ask how long do you intend to be staying on this planet? It would not be prudent for us to invest a good deal of resources only to find tomorrow that you have left in the night."
Helios doesn't have a face, so it's tell if he? it? she? is put off by his flames lack of effect. He simply continues to drift towards Hellbender, getting larger as he goes, unperturbed by the revving blades on his opponent's arm.
The rabbit - let's name him Peter - is quick enough to avoid getting dragged by Lugnut in the first place - at least, just yet. A foot to the table (the same foot that moves it just as Bovos is removing his plate) changes the direction of his leap, sending him around to Lugnut's right instead. He doesn't simply circle, however. As he moves around he occasionally throws high-speed kicks at the robot before again moving a bit further along his path.

Well hey, looked like rabbit-boy didn't want that salad after all. Hellbender scooped it up as it fell, and attempted to swat the burning core of the fire creature with a big plateful of damp greens. If there's anything corporeal there, it also got a big chunk of fist and whirring cutters through it.
Frag, how do you deal with a living flame?

Aaah, quick little rabbit, isn't he? Lugnut is quite tempted to just open fire with his lasers, but that would probably damage the organic beyond repairs. Not to mention that the shots would most likely ricochet around the room.
Lugnut stands his ground, taking the surprisingly strong kicks, his thick armor more than capable of taking it. He swings a few punches, but the rabbit is too fast. The zealot growls, but then gets an idea. A soft humming rises up from his form, the floor on which he's standing on becoming just a little bit hotter. He carefully watches the rabbit, hoping to predict where his opponent would move, knowing that timing will be critical for this.
As soon as the rabbit is where he wants him to be Lugnut activates his boosters, flying towards his opponent with his shoulder tilted forward, aiming to ram his opponent straight into the wall!

Shockwave leans an elbow on the bar, adopting a relaxed posture. "The exact length of our stay has yet to be determined, however, we have been out in space for much longer than we intended. The break is most welcome to all members of my group, so it will likely be a while yet. A few months, perhaps."
"I can offer a notice of twenty-four hours before we do leave, if our business is not concluded by that time."
"If I may now ask what that business might be."

Unfortunately for Hellbender, there doesn't appear to be anything solid. Not completely so, anyway. There is a certain amount of resistance as the Decepticon's whirring arm blasts through the flame creature (accompanied by an extreme increase in heat), and the flame creature emits a hissing, sizzling noise. This gets louder when the damp salad touches it, and where it does, for just a moment, it dims. Helios backs away for a moment, then moves forward, trying to engulf Hellbender.
Peter is slammed into a wall! The rabbit groans and reaches up his right fist to wipe away a dribble of blood that comes from the corner of his mouth. Then he snarls at Lugnut and, back braced against the wall, lifts both legs to begin kicking at the Decepticon, an extremely rapid succession of unexpectedly strong kicks.
Bovos leans back slightly, allowing leafs of flaming lettuce to pass immediately in front of his nose before leaning forward once more to stab his fork into his steak. "Notice would be appreciated, mmmm? As for the business itself... eeeh, I suppose it is time we began." This suggests that Bovos is at least moderately impressed with the Decepticons' strength. "We have recently come into the possession of some... property. A casino in a.... highly contested neighborhood. While we would be capable of... establishing it clearly and making it profitable, doing so would call resources away from other... ventures that take higher priority."
"This is where you would come in, mmmm?"

Though Hellbender still had Midnight's original heat- and energy-hardened core circuits, those weren't in his hands, and the mining worm's armor only protect stuff inside the armor from heat and pressure from outside the armor. It didn't do much of anything useful for his limbs while arrayed as wing-shells and torso armor. To make a long story short, the heat started to warp his finger joints even in that brief instant--
"Slag!" Hellbender pulled his hand back abruptly--then it started coming for him. "Ah don't think so," he said--and punched straight up into the ceiling, cutters breaking loose the decorative plastering that formed a facade over the armor plate. Debris and rubble rained down in Helios' general area.
Hellbender was betting that the decor in an establishment that included Helios as a regular visitor was fireproof--and that meant it could smother a fire in bulk.

Rabbit boy has some damn strong legs on him! Lugnut grunts as he feels those feet hitting him with surprising force, even cracking some of the windows of his cockpit kibble. But he absolutely refuses to budge, standing his ground even as he takes al lthe blows...But his patience is running out, fast.
"You annoying FOOL! Do you really think that you can match the power granted to me by Megatron!? FEEL MY WRATH!" Lugnut growls and attempts to grab one of Peter's legs. Should he succeed, then he will start twirling around before releasing him again, sending the rabbit flying.

Shockwave tilts his gun arm and disintegrates a chunk of plaster before it can come down on himself and Bovos, though Shockwave's actual attention doesn't seem to stray from the mob boss.
"Hmm, I think splitting the repair bill in half will be fair, yes?"
He returns to the conversation at hand. "I have some among my group who are skilled in such public relations venues. And my current companions are neither the extent not the strongest among my troops. I am confident that we could secure your facility for you and solidify your position well enough for you to be able to take it back over with little effort."
"What, however, do you intend to offer for this service?"

Bovos gives to nearly being hit by flying plaster no reaction, though he does lift his right hand to catch a chunk of table that's sent flying towards him, without so much as looking at it. He then sets it down on the bar before absently waving his hands. "Eeeh, do not worry about the repairs. We are your hosts, after all. Cleaning up after the party is part of our duty."
"As for what you get out of it, mmmm, you will have gained allies and contacts on this would in the form of ourselves, you will have put yourself in a good position to form new alliances and gain new contacts and you will have gained a reliable and consistant source of income."
Bovos's lips pull back into a bovine parody of a smile. "Assuming you can make the casino profitable, of course."
Plaster is dropped down on Helios, burying the flame-creature completely. At first, there's nothing, but then, flickers of flame start to light up the edges of the pieces of ceiling and keep rising. They slowly pull together, joining, getting bigger... but there doesn't seem as much as before, and the light is somewhat dimmer.
Meanwhile, Peter's leg is grasped and he's sent flying into the table, sending pieces and shards of it flying everywhere. Peter groans, then begins to pull himself to his feet, obviously pained at this point. Still, he appears ready to spring back at Lugnut -
- when Bovos clears his throat. "Eeeh, I do believe I've witnessed enough." He looks towards Shockwave. "You?"
Shockwave gives a sharp nod of his head. "Agreed."

Hellbender picked up on the nod from Shockwave and backed up a few steps, lowering his arms and letting the cutters spin down. "Lugnut, Ah think we can stand down now."
He kept a wary eye on the flame creature and the rabbit-man, just in case. Right when everyone was letting their guard down was when Decepticon warlords traditionally carried out the executions. Fortunately nobody here was Straxus or that forgettable triad that had tried to overthrow Megatron...
Yeah. Now was not the time to wander down memory lane, either.

Oh, it feels so good to see that wretched cur fly through the air and come to a painful stop. Lugnut gets ready to follow up his attack when the order to stand down is given, reluctantly following it, though he can't help but growl at his comrade. "My audio's are still functional, Hellbender."

"Oh, I am sure we can make the property profitable. We have an expert in such things among our ranks."
In fact, once they are out of this room, Shockwave will be radioing that expert.
"Obviously since my group will be taking the majority of the risk in the venture, our portion of the property's profits should be higher. Eighty-twenty, I'd say, at least until things stabilize."
