With the alternate world version of Emirate Xaaron safely under other guard, Arcee has been drafted into patrol along with Boondocker and Makeshift. With the possibility of that Xaaron and Swerve's Autobots having followed them growing more likely by the day, it only makes sense to expand their areas of patrol.
Currently heading toward the nearest ruined city, Arcee is out in front, occasionally muttering a curse over the conditions of the road. While she's well designed and much tougher that her sporty, girlish car form looks like, it doesn't mean she doesn't prefer smooth riding.
"You keeping up okay, Boondocker?"

Clearly, if Arcee's having trouble, she needs to reformat into something tougher, like a big ol' truck! Something with four wheel drive and good suspension to take care of the bad conditions. Something like Boondocker!
However, Boondocker is a 1970s model, and lacks these awesome things, and is having similar trouble to the fembot.
"Daggin'-daggum-dag-dangit-dag-nabbit!" Some rattles, and a few skips can be heard in his music he's playing.
"...ah'll live!"

Flying along high enough to keep an eye out without being out of sight of the others, Makeshift wheels a little in the air, making a lazy circle. He isn't having any great difficulty keeping up, since the terrain isn't much of a problem for him, and so he's indulging a little, just enjoying the air in his rotors.
Fortunately, he could justify it by using his mapping sensors to work up a rudimentary terrain map; it's constructed of rough estimates and straight lines, being made mainly for less organic structures, but it's better than nothing. Besides, he's still getting accustomed to this strange planet, and the best way to learn the air patterns was to play around with them a bit.
Ok, so he's really just having fun. It's not like he's hurting anyone, right?

Arcee is (roughly) a 2005 model. Granted, it's a 2005 model from a 2005 that's about as different from the real world as is possible to get (at least, when compared to someone like Jazz or Evac), but it's 2005 all the same.
"We really need to fix these roads sometime," she mutters.

"Mebbe that Wedge feller can plow all this junk off" Boondocker answers, swerving around a few larger bits of debris. "Guess that lil' mini-feller's got the right idea with the flyin'."

Makeshift's playing takes him low enough to catch Boondocker's last remark. "I've been stuck hoofing it for a long time," the Mini-con replies, the image of a dreamy smile evident in his voice. "Don't worry, I can keep an eye out and have my fun at the same time."
He rises up again, gaining enough altitude to not blind the others in blown-up dust, and switches to shortwave radio so he doesn't have to shout. //Anything in particular I should be keeping an eye out for? Other than the obvious, I mean.//

"Might be nice to be a triple-changer," Arcee comments. "Drive when you want, the skies when you don't."
//Evil Autobots, maybe?// Arcee suggests, though she just might be joking. //But it's been way too long since the bad guys, any of them, have tried anything. They're up to something...//

"Ah heah that..." Boondocker answers, chuckling to himself.
//Maybe keep a watch for any bigger junk on up ahead, too? An' mebbe new arrivals...//

//Gotcha.// So, pretty much, the obvious.
//I could go ahead a bit and map out the road for you, if you guys want.//
It has nothing to do with wanting to enjoy the sky without the sound of tires crunching on gravel. Really.

//That would be great, Makeshift. Thanks.//
Might as well be conversational. "So when are you from, Boondocker?"

"Ah...sometime in 2000. Shortly aftuh Autobot City got built, 'ccordin' to some o' th' folks thar."
A few beats pass while he thinks.
"Ah mighta seen y' 'round once or twice, not sure. Muh memory ain't that great..."

Swiveling his rotors forward, Makeshift takes the lead, leaving his radio open but otherwise not commenting. After a moment, he begins transmitting maps back; simple, wire-frame images, with things like a tree represented as a cone on a cylinder, but enough to warn of major obstacles or defects in the road. Better than nothing.

"Right. Hot Rod, Springer, Blurr, and I would have been assigned there pretty quickly after it got built. We were losing ground on Cybertron so quickly..."
She trails off, and pushes ahead. "I probably saw you around too. But there were so many of us there, it's hard to remember."

Boondocker would nod, but, y'know. Vehicle mode. "That Springer feller is somethin' else, ah tell yuh whut" he says, snickering. It's meant in good spirits, 'cause Springer is awesome.
Swerve, swerve, swerve around this and that and hey there's a piece of junk that makes Devastator's butt look small.
At least there's not any couches in the road.

Drifting along ahead, Makeshift listens but doesn't comment. Tough to compare notes on reality when you're the only one around from your own reality.
The thought gives him a brief pang. As much as he hated the moon base--it was crowded, there was no room to do much flying, and Dualor's team was a bunch of jerks--he couldn't help but miss his teammates. But there isn't much he can really do about it.
With a sigh, he keeps flying. Nothing to do but move ahead.
