"Plenty of muscle," Arcee agrees. "But I'm not sure about how much he had between his audios."
She slows down just a little to negotiate a turn. "I think we should be coming up on the city pretty soon."

Yes, that little group will be getting to the city soon enough. And when they do, they'll not find a thing amiss. Perhaps if it were a different group, an individual seeking to stay hidden might be worried that the infinitesimal traces of his passing would be noticed. But what is one more overturned rock, one tiny disturbance in a patch of rust, in a city long abandoned and overrun with local fauna?
Their conversation is unimportant, trivial. It is merely who they are that might be worthy of attention, were someone standing calmly, cloaked, off the side of the road. If someone were there, then physical similarities and differences would be noted, voice patterns compared and recorded, all in the few minutes it takes for the group to pass. And once the Autobots passed, that hypothetical individual would fade quickly and silently back into the treeline, moving swiftly back toward Autobase. Perhaps, if one of that group just happened to glance back at just the right moment, they might spy a slight movement of the trees, the barest glimmer of metal, things easily dismissed as the rustling of animals or the glint of sun on debris.
But of course, none of this will happen, because there is no one there.
Is there?
Mirage-3 is not entering rotation. This is an just a quick pose of him being all sneaky sneak. Or is it? *handwaves* This is not the spy you are looking for.

Up on the horizon, there is indeed a city approaching them. Boondocker turns as well, though his tires screech just a bit due to speed. "Heh, ah reckon not, but not ev'rbody kin be a Perceptor."

//Not much worth noting--//
The Mini-con cuts off. He could've sworn.....no, probably just an animal running across debris or something.
//...Anyway, not much longer till we get to the city. I'll take a quick look ahead and meet you at the outskirts.//
And, with a barely-audible rumble of his small engines, he moves ahead to do just that.

//Good job, Makeshift. Thanks again,// Arcee radios.
"No, you're right, Boondocker... But I've also seen way too many people get in over their heads when a little bit of thinking would have done them a lot better."
She's not naming any names *cough*Hot Rod*cough*, of course.

As they approach the city, a flicker of lights overhead catches attention. Some may remember the Unicron broadcast, and indeed, as the group grows nearer it can be seen that it's the same technology.1
However, it is not the planet eater's image that is being displayed in the sky, but rather a considerably more mundane setting, something that looks like it could belong inside the of any number of local buildings. Things look perfectly ordinary, except for the foam which fills the room, and wading through the middle of that foam are three bickering Gillanese.
Their bickering takes on an increasingly heated quality, until the middle one slaps the one on his left on the back of his head with his left upper hand, a move that's accompanied by an unrealistic, hollow sound. The leftmost Gillanese responds with a challenge in his own language, then swings both of his far arms. However, the middle one ducks, causing the left one to slam both arms into the right Gillanese, this time with a double-bopping noise. The right Gillanese expresses his irritation both and words and by pushing forward with all four arms, which causes the left Gillanese to fall backwards into the foam (soap subs? Fire retardant foam?), legs and arms flailing wildly as he disappears from view.
Congratulations. You have discovered alien slapstick.

Boondocker slows down, watching the video. Having had been briefed on the Unicron broadcast, he chuckles a bit. "Reckon this'n shore beats th' one ah heard about... Wonder if these folks evah been t' Earth. This stuff reminds me of th' Three Stooges."
A few beats pass.
"Weird way t' watch TV."

Makeshift would blink if he had any way of doing so in flight mode. "Well, that was....different."
He's seen a recording of the Unicron projection (oddly, he'd always imagined the legendary Chaos-Bringer would look a little...different), but it's certainly an odd way to communicate. Although, using clouds as a projection screen is an interesting way to do it.
He turns his optics back downwards as he passes into the first of the buildings. A few quick peeks around the nearby streets, and then he can land on that building there to wait while the others to catch up. Should be getting there, oh, about the same time they reach the city.

"Weird technology," Arcee agrees. "Wonder if we might be able to use it some day. It sure could come in handy."

"Yeah, it could have it's uses, ah reckon."
Boondocker falls silent as they pull into the city, he stopping a little ways in and transforming, heaving a bit of a sigh to let some heated air out. "Hoo... Now what, we check this hyar place fer evil counterparts?"

"Nothing moving nearby," Makeshift reports, transforming and landing on a nearby rooftop to put himself at eye level with the two bulks. "A bunch of abandoned vehicles, some random debris, the usual. Didn't go in very far yet, though."

Arcee transforms too, taking a moment to work her shoulders and other joints loose from the drive.
"That's our best bet, Boondocker," she says. "Though we should also check for signs if anyone's been here recently."

Boondocker nods at Arcee, pulling out one of his pistols. "Figger it's better safe than sorry, if we's dealin' with possible evil duplicates." He sighs a bit. "Kinda stanks that we gotta be so suspicious like this, but it happens, I reckon."
-- OOC: Maybe Arcee could suggest checking out the tower, since she was around when the original broadcast happened?

Makeshift hops off the roof, arming his railgun fingers with a series of low clicks. "Just don't get fragged. I can't carry both of you back."

Arcee pulls out her own pistol. "Don't worry, boys. I can handle myself just fine."
She considers. "Let's check out the comm tower. Maybe we can find whatever got it broadcasting again."
