Unlike Dead End, Eye-Fire takes a few steps forward, but otherwise does nothing. If things go wrong here he wants to be on hand to help Starscream resolve this as quickly as possible.

"Watch your tone, Cannonball. That is not how you address your Commander," Misfire says softly. His tone says quite clearly that he considers the pirate's comments to be beyond the pale.
Misfire doesn't threaten though; in fact, he steps slightly back and to one side of Starscream. This is Lord Starscream's scuffle now, and the jet will simply be there to back him up. Just like any good solider would.
OOC: Still skippable, though I will attempt to post as I can from the hotel.

"And straight after you lost your own fuel, you just happened to wander over to the energon storage. To ensure it was okay." Yeah, Starscream is totally convinced. "How... charitable."

Oh look, Starscream has picked someone besides Dead End to be his punching bag and/or marksmanship target. Dead End would feel mildly elated, but he's too busy waiting for the other shoe to drop. Probably Motormaster will arrive next, just to make up for it.
He glances at Misfire to see just what the jet-former is making of all this. Is Misfire really backing up Starscream, or will he just watch if Cannonball takes umbrage? Of course, if he backs up Starscream... Dead End has already heard of Misfire's reputation.
He takes several steps back.

Cannonball cuts a glance at Misfire, but ignores his warning. Starscream is his commander only due to situation.
Though...bugger, he's being backed into a figurative corner here. Or painted himself into it.
He changes poses slightly, looking a bit more sure of himself. Time to flex those fast-talking muscles. "Charitable is subjective, me lad. If they were so keen on 'avin' my fuel, they shouldn't miss theirs, then. Or do they not 'ave the "eye for an eye" in your universe? Charitable for me. For them, not so much."

Yes, situation. Said situation being "I will shoot you if you do not fall in line."
"...Only instead of taking their fuel," Starscream says, "You opted to take mine." He exploits the obvious height difference between the two of them as he leans down. "Thank you for your confession."

Misfire cuts his optics at Dead End as the Stunticon steps back. A prudent move, given that Starscream appears ready to take his frustrations out on Cannonball. And while Misfire will most assuredly back his Commander up, he is not so foolish as to fire upon someone standing in front of that Commander. The last thing Misfire wants is to accidentally shoot Starscream in the aft.
The interceptor jet shifts position again, casually attempting to circle around to one side of Cannonball.

Dead End debates the entertainment value of standing around watching Starscream yell at Cannonball. Unfortunately, it all depends on how Cannonball reacts next...
He transforms into Porsche mode, ready to drive off if circumstances call for it. Or if his case of "I don't really give a slag" gets much worse. It's a chronic condition that flares up periodically, and it feels like he's getting another bout of it.

Cannonball didn't think he'd quite confessed, but if the jetbot is gonna keep pushing the accusation, might as well roll with it.
The pirate glares right up at Starscream. Gonna take more than pointing out that he's taller for Starscream to intimidate the pirate. "Your fuel? All the bloody cubes are th' same! If you wanna show me where it said on there 'This 'ere be Starscream's personal fuel', yer more'n welcome t' do so!" he snarls. "An' if that was yers, I question yer taste. That were weaker'n hippie ethanol made from fry grease! Whoever ye got makin' this stuff needs t' learn just 'ow to run a still properly!"

"I didn't need a sign, I had a padlock." Starscream says. However, he's not interested in debating semantics when Cannonball has confessed. "Now, on to your punishment."
Starscream is feeling a sense of irony is needed in this verdict. If only they had a plank for Cannonball to walk. Oh well. Still, Starscream might well have something better in mind.
"Cannonball, stand over there." He says, as he points to a spot nearby. Starscream offers some 'encouragement' in the form of a firm shove' when Cannonball doesn't respond in time. Thankfully that's all that is needed. "Now, turn and face us."
"Cannonball, you have been found guilty of theft, and your sentence is to be placed in front of a firing squad. Since a squad is not available I will have to make do with who I have here."
However, despite the fact that he has a sniper present--not to mention the perfectly-fine marksmanship of Dead End, Starscream directs this order to the Targetmaster. "Misfire. You, and you alone, are to carry this out. Get your organic companion, and you may fire when ready."

Cannonball confesses, Starscream smirks, and Misfire is poised to have aid his commander however he may. What he is not expecting, however, is what Starscream orders.
Misfire blanches. Yes, he visibly blanches, and the fact that he's a robot and shouldn't be able to do that doesn't matter one whit. Starscream wants him to...but Misfire...what did he ever do to Starscream?!? It's an excuse, Misfire's sure of it, and excuse to force him to fail an order and then get him handed over to Spinister and Needlenose and, oooooooo......
Whack! Get a hold of yourself!
Aimless smacks his partner on the back of the head before tumbling down and dropping into Misfire's automatically waiting hand. Aimless is just as worried, but trying and failing is a helluva lot better than not doing in the Decepticon world, he's learned.
Misfire gives Starscream a sharp nod, and says "Y-yes, my Lord. As you wish," before shifting to face Cannonball. He doesn't trust himself to hit with one shot, so he fires three at the pirate captain.

Oh look, Starscream is having someone shot again. He seems to have a fixation on shooting people. At least it isn't Dead End as the target this time--
Wait, Misfire?? Ruh-roh. Dead End hastily brings his forcefields online; there's a very quiet hum as they activate--just as Misfire fires his quick burst of particle clusters.
Fortunately, even Misfire doesn't easily shoot what is in his rear arc, though Dead End fully expected to get shot, have his forcefields fail catastrophically, and then get his lasercore burnt out by the charged particle burst. Suprisingly, this didn't happen. Still, if he stayed here, it could conceivably happen.
On the other hand, if he left now, he'd never find out how this came out.

Cannonball does not go easily, at least not until he is shoved. And even then, he grumbles. "Oh, come off it, I'm a pirate! What in th' smelt did ye bloody expect?!" he snaps, turning around to face Starscream, fully intent on showing him just what he thinks of this farce of justice.
Until Starscream announces who the "firing squad" will be, and Cannonball laughs. And then he laughs all the more as the shots go way astray. "Oh, this is rich! I'll die of boredom before yer aim-challenged swab hits me, much less kills me!"

"If my lord wishes, I could give Misfire a few pointers and tips. It won't be too difficult to get him to strike the target in general, but some time at least until he hit a specific point."
Yes, Eye-Fire is suggesting Sarscream have Misfire use Cannonball as a practice target until Misfire's aim improves. Yes, he realizes this might take a while.

"That will not be necessary, Eye-Fire, I feel we can resolve this." Starscream says as he vanishes into the storage shed briefly.
Re-emerging, he approaches Cannonball. "Misfire's aim--or lack of--notwithstanding, he is not so bad that he will not completely fail to miss his target. He is to shoot you until hits. But I can make it even better and offer you some cover, and if he manages to hit your cover first, then that counts as the shot."
And with that, Starscream places into Cannonball's solitary hand his 'cover': an energon cube. "Surely pathetically weak energon such as this runs no risk of harm, should it be shot, after all." His anti-gravs kick in and guide him back behind the firing line. "Misfire, you may begin."
