M6W3D7, night time, Victoria's office at Kaonic, Private
Ghostfire is not sure about this outfit, which is made of dark greys and blues, colours that the eyes just slide over in shadow, but then again, no one is ever going to see it, so it hardly matters! She has just successfully snuck into Victoria's office, and she has data to acquire!
This all started when Ned told her that one of the Kaonic toys he was pulling apart to build their radio looked, well, awfully like Transformer technology. Awfully like a certain someone's work, in fact.
What she is doing now is terribly illegal, but that is why she is Ghostfire to do it. Also, being completely invisible and undetectable helps. The only thing that could foil her now would be someone walking right into her!

Professor Sharp is completely sure about his outfit. He's sure he looks fan-tast-ic! Sure, steampunk is a bit on the fringe, but it's having an increasing impact on mainstream fashion, and the cape bunch is always expected to work the extreme angle, anyway.
While Sharp lacks his wife's stealth, what he's got is enough skill and knowledge to get past a human security system (though this one was trickier than a human one has a right to be, even that wasn't entirely unexpected), and a few handy gadgets to get him the rest of the way in.
He checks the office door, and is surprised to find it open, so he just walks in, moving first towards the desk.
Unfortunately, there happens to be an invisible person between him and his goal, one he slams right into, and they both go tumbling to the ground in an awkward heap.
OOC: Tripping over Ghostfire with permission.

Victoria has been working late in the labs, as she often does, and so is wearing a tailored white lab coat over her suit, a skirt and jacket combo this time. She's wearing some killer heels tonight, too.
She slips her keycard into the door. One eyebrow arches up. The door should not be unlocked. She steps to one side of the door frame, pushes the door open, and then peers around the frame.
Well.
Victoria enters her office, pushing the door closed behind her as she does so. She walks over to her desk (giving the fallen Professor Sharp and his invisible pillow a wide berth), pours herself a glass of water, and then sits down.
"I must say, it took you long enough."

Ghostfire tries to wrap a strangling hand around Professor Sharp's neck, a very hot hand. She thinks she can just incinerate him, sweep up the ashes, and continue her business.
What makes her stop and her hand go cool is that Ms. Raines walks in. Okay, so, if Ms. Raines is incinerated into ashes, people are still going to look for where she went. This mission has just entered Fragged Up Beyond All Recognition territory.
Ghostfire tries to wriggle out from under Professor Sharp instead.

Professor Sharp has, briefly, a very hot hand wrapped around his neck!
It would seem that Victoria just kept Ghostfire from making a mistake she would likely regret. Well, hopefully regret. Ned would be rather disappointed if she didn't regret it.
"Oh, please," he snorts in a voice that the invisible woman should recognize, "if you're telling me that you took less than two weeks to take stock and make your first move after being dropped into a whole other life, than..." he grins widely, although it's hard to see beneath the goggles and facemask, "you're a lot rasher than I gave you credit for! Good job!"
As Ghostfire tries to wriggle out from beneath him, he makes a grab for her based on feel. "Now if you'll excuse me, I've got an invisible person... woman? Definitely feels woman! An invisible woman to grab hold of before I lose track of her. Or nicely padded him."

Victoria takes a sip of her water and shrugs one shoulder. "You were on this planet for several weeks before the event. I expected someone of your caliber to have followed the clues before now."
She props one elbow on her desk and her chin upon her her fingers, "If it is Spinister, I would recommend she show herself. If it is not Spinister, I would still recommend it, if she values her safety."
Giving Professor Sharp's outfit a very obvious once over, she adds, "Interesting fashion statement, by the way Needlenose."

What. Ghostfire is in the middle of trying to kill her assailant, and he grabs her there? She's a married woman!
Oh. It's her husband. Ghostfire is still annoyed. Maybe she's even more annoyed about him grabbing random invisible women. Ghostfire tries to wrap her legs around his hips and then use the power and leverage of her legs to fling him off of her so that she can get up to a dignified standing position.
Either way, Ghostfire appears and hisses, "Not in front of the boss."

Sharp hadn't intended to grab for there! It just happened!
He's flung off of Ghostfire, but he manages to hit the ground with a roll which brings him quickly to his feet. He shrugs. "I've been busy," he says coolly. Right now, this woman is not yet his boss (though he does give Ghostfire a questioning look when she calls Victoria that), so there's no real reason to admit that he's been doing things like helping with the base construction, trying to get rid of the rogue problem she left in the computer system, finishing the repairs from the insanely powered madman who left not long before arrival on Earth and, of course, creating a line of fashion that subliminally influences humans.

Mayhap Needlenose created the shoes that Victoria is wearing right this minute! They send subtle signals to the wearer to persuade them to buy even more impossibly-high heels, thereby slowly crippling a portion of the female population and every drag queen in the world.
What? Needlenose is Marvel G1. Car Wash of Doom, people.
"Starscream is the current commander of the Decepticons," Victoria corrects, "He escaped this... predicament somehow."
"But then, it is not the commander of the Decepticons the Mayhems serve, but the Decepticon cause, as I recall," she says with a slight smirk as she studies the couple from over the rim of her water glass.

Ghostfire has two speech patterns. One is very informal. The other is very formal. She was being informal in calling Victoria 'boss'. Ghostfire shrugs when Professor Sharp looks at her.
Inside, she's sighing. She doesn't want to know what villainy he does in his spare time! Being able to pick him out of a police lineup is a bad thing! Maybe he can just go do villainy in Ohio instead or something.
It figures that Starscream would get out of this, but it also implies that the rest of them didn't. Is that accurate?
Ghostfire has just one question, "How do we reverse this?"

Professor Sharp smiles brightly behind his mask, but he neither confirms nor denies Victoria's allegation that they serve the cause, not the commander.
He doesn't seem to get that there's an Issue with Ghostfire knowing about his after school activities, so he just remains cheerfully quiet as he listens for Victoria's answer to Ghostfire's question.

At Ghostfire's question, the smirk leaves Victoria's face and she sighs, leaning back into her chair. She looks almost... tired.
"I have been searching for the answer to that question for thirty years," she answers.
"This," she waves a hand at the office, "All in an attempt to find an answer, and to be in the best position to aide my people if I could not. Now, we face what is essentially genocide. I did not arrive in time to warn them."
"However, the presence of others has opened a new avenue of exploration into the condition. I am hopeful a solution can be reached quickly. I do not wish any of you to experience the feeling of your body dying around you as you age."
"It is rather unpleasant."

Spinister has Targetmaster partners. He knows what aging feels like: it feels like, 'slag, get these malfunctioning pieces replaced with cyborg bits'. (Someday, Singe and Hairsplitter are going to be little robots, whether they like it or not.)
Ghostfire asks, "Want Autobots brought in live?"
She shouldn't need to explain why. Ghostfire will likely make the same offer to others, Professor Sharp included. The more minds going at the problem from different angles...

She's been at this thirty years and hasn't figured out a way to fix it?
"And she complained about us taking our time," he mutters quietly. It's one of those things that only gets said allowed in fiction - if he were real, he'd probably just keep the thought to himself.
"For that matter, have we identified any Autobots? I'm assuming this hit them, too. Detroit seems to have a lot of capes that I don't remember from when I was a robot, though..." he shrugs. " Could just be that I didn't care enough about Detroit to pay attention then."

Victoria smiles slightly at Spinister's question. "Actually, I've one in my employ. The powers that be dropped him into a life that places him directly under my influence. Handling him is a delicate situation, given he is from my own reality. He is an assistant in this matter, and not a test subject."
She steeples her fingers together under chin and continues, expression thoughtful, "If you can bring them in quietly, and without their disappearance alerting their brethren, then yes. However, both factions may need to collaborate in order to reverse this. Or at least seem to do so."
"The Matrix would certainly be an invaluable tool in any attempted reversal"
Except the Matrix has a Crunchy Evil Surprise Inside, which the Decepticons do not know about yet.
