Spy Shot stares in surprise at Perceptor as he shrinks. The only other thing he has seen change size like that is the Allspark, and while this isn't quite as impressive it's still quite fascinating to watch.
Standing on the dark sand and watching the people around him, the little camera is ready for whatever might happen next.
OOC: Could someone else handle the time-skip, please?

As Perceptor hands him the parts, Grimlock starts stowing them away in subspace, with only a few bits left to be carried by hand. Those stowed under his arm, he watches Perceptor attempt to go for the Prime's body... And it crumbles. Grimlock flinches back ever so slightly at this, as that's certainly no state he ever wants to wind up in...
Once Perceptor transforms and shrinks down, he scoops the microscope and tiny camera-bot up, holding them in the hand that the building components are in.
Hm. Well. Time to go, but there wasn't time to examine the Nightbeat body. It's in strange shape as it is, so it might be beneficial to Perceptor and to Nightbeat, so he reaches down with his free hand, scooping it up.
"Me Grimlock say hang on!" That's all the warning his passengers have before he takes off into the air, flying a bit slower than he did on the way here, so that he doesn't lose Perceptor or Spy Shot, or the other things he's carrying.
-- -- --
Some time later, Grimlock and company arrive back at the temple near Autobase after a (thankfully) uneventful flight back. Grimlock lands, setting down the dead Nightbeat, along with Perceptor, followed by the components under his arm. He keeps Spy Shot in his hand, however, so he can see the others' faces better, and so they don't lose him and accidentally step on him.
"We finally back..." Grimlock says, heaving a sigh as he vents a good bit of heat. Sustained flight, plus being in the desert, and heavy use of his subspace system has him running fairly warm. And a bit low on fuel.

There is a short delay after Perceptor is carefully placed back upon his own treads before he slowly transforms, resuming his normal size - someone had been taking advantage of the quiet return to doze off a bit. That probably explains the fleet glimpse of embarrassed guilt that flickers across his features once he is back on his own two feet.
"Thank you, Grimlock; that was nicely done," he observes with a very subtle stretch to warm up cables and servos after his nap. Hmm... Grimlock's thermal signature indicates elevated systemic operating temperatures, and his own systems are considerably warmer than expected for so soon after such a diminished activity level as he had been in during the flight back.
Ah. Their subspace systems had not truly been designed for such an elevated load as they have been taxed with for this excursion.
"Spy Shot 6, Hook, I must apologize. I cannot take you to our current base of operations until I receive the appropriate clearance from Xaaron and Kup. Kup is our chief of security," he explains to the tiny transformer. "He will wish to speak with you to establish your individual clearance. It is our standard procedure."
"Hook, I am not certain that Xaaron or Kup will allow you access to our facilities," he apologizes. Of course, that assumes that Hook would even want to be trapped underground, surrounded by Autobots. "But I am certain that your own people would much rather that you return to them, anyway," he adds with a smile that seems to say that he's just as certain that Hook would just as much rather be among Decepticons than Autobots.
Even if Perceptor would gladly give up the entirety of his tertiary tactile systems for the opportunity to work side by side with an engineer of integrity who possesses Hook's infamous meticulous care, skill, and exacting standards.
"Once we have settled matters of security and reuniting separated comrades, Grimlock, we will deliver the new materials to the medical ward and then I will personally see to your refuel. Based upon my calculations, you should be in need of a good, stout cube or three."

Hook sets himself down in the temple and busies himself with unsnapping himself from the crystal block he brought back. That this provides a convenient bit of cover for him is entirely beyond his notice. Truly.
"As you say."
Once undone from the crystal, his line retracts automatically, and he lowers his crane-boom back into the actual comfortable position for his robot-mode. "I do not know the specs of your lenses, I'm afraid. If I had that information, I could work on the crystal while we wait."

Spy Shot feels a little overwhelmed as Grimlock touches down and sets down his other passenger and cargo. His mind reeled with miles and miles of never-before-seen (by him) terrain that had streamed by below them, barely given him time to register much of it before they moved on, urging him to revisit the memories. Oh, and now here they have stopped somewhere new and he has to thoroughly examine what he can see from Grimlock's hand. Yes, and of course he has to pause from that to watch Perceptor transform, because the size-changing is still fascinating and he has never seen the process go in this direction. But there's still those memories to go over, and now Perceptor is addressing him, and, and-
With a small whir of mechanics, Spy Shot snaps shut into his camera mode, finding comfort in his original form. Life is simpler as a stationary camera, not having to worry about moving around this way and that and only seeing what's directly in front of you. He never suspected that there could be such a thing as too much new information.
Calming his over-stimulated young mind, the camera turns his attention to Perceptor's words. Is he supposed to reply? The Autobot has not asked him a question after all, just offered information, and he has nothing to state in return. However, it seems that he should probably acknowledge that he has acquired the information.
Debating with himself for a moment, Spy Shot decides on a simple "Oh."

A green-gray truck comes rumbling into the general area, although he can heard well before he can be seen, and even when he can be seen, it's not close. The roads stop right outside the temple, but as it gets closer to the temple it becomes less well-maintained. Kup has no problem with this, and bounces along at his usual moderate pace. He pulls to a stop without entering the open-air temple proper, however, although he can still easily be seen, and he snaps to his passenger, "Out in ten seconds, then I'm transforming."
Then, exactly ten seconds later, he transforms.

That particular passenger responds with a great leap. The giant--by Earth standards, but not compared to other Cybertronians--leaps into the sky. With the requisite cry of "terrorize", Scourge transforms. He lands relatively gracefully, after all, he is a bizarre biological/technological mishmash, to Kup's right. The landing could have been more impressive, but he's a doctor, not an acrobat.

Grimlock gives Perceptor a light nod at the thanks, and visibly perks up at the prospect of refueling.
Then, off in the distance, Grimlock spies Kup!
And now the waiting, for he's a good ways off.
A bit more.
Ah, here he is...and he has a strange bug-thing that Grimlock decides to ignore for now. He offers up his hand, where the wee Camerabot was now just a camera. "Kup! Me Grimlock find tiny Autobot while we gone!"
Then he looks down, prodding the other Nightbeat. "Me also find dead Nightbeat."

It is Perceptor's turn to stare at the Constructicon in grateful surprise. "You would be willing to..." His voice trails off as he digests that. Perceptor had not expected any additional help beyond freeing the block of raw material from the original construct and especially not from one who must will himself not to see a monster every time he looks upon the Autobot scientist.
Perceptor is torn between his own instinctive dismissal of the offer out of possessive perfectionism and glad, almost ecstatic acceptance. Perceptor does not usually trust his optical components to anyone; their thin-enough-as-to-be-functionally-nonexistant margain for error is too precise a task for anyone but himself to complete correctly. If anyone, however, would be perfectionist enough to put the same level of care into such a challenging task, it would be Hook.
Eventually, with an expression that mirrors that of Hook's when he'd been offered those tools, Perceptor rattles off the specifications of the various lenses and prisms and mirrors he will need, finishing with a small, "Thank you."
Hopefully Spy Shot will forgive Perceptor the lapse of courtesy, as with all the surprise and contemplation, the scientist has missed the sudden refuge-seeking transformation of the tiny little mechanism. It is Kup's arrival with passenger that finally shakes him out of his daze.
"Greetings, Kup. Meet Spy Shot 6, a recent arrival from Bumblebee's reality. Spy Shot 6, this is Kup, whom I mentioned," he introduces, and then turns to include Hook in their discussion.
"And Hook, I am certain you are already familiar with. Or rather, a Hook."
"And you are?" he inquires of Scourge, having not yet met the version on this Gillanan II.

"Yes." Yes, Hook is willing. Yes, Hook can do this when no one else can. Yes, Hook is striving to differentiate between this mech and what his instincts warn him about that body and face.
He flinches from the sound of the arriving engine, ducks behind Grimlock. The Dinobot wants to protect him? Then let the Dinobot do so. Even when Kup arrives, Hook lingers behind the Dinobot, at least until Scourge leaps out of the truck.
"Scourge!" Delighted, Hook steps forward, hands raised and held out flat side-by-side, creating a small landing platform.

Spy Shot appreciates that Grimlock is basically pointing him at the newcomers, allowing him to observe them to some degree without having to leave the comfort of his camera mode. He'll have to get a better look at them later, of course, especially the smaller one who is difficult to see at this angle, but for now he is content.
"Hello," he greets, then lapses into silence but for a quiet whirring as he zooms in and out.

Kup strides confidently towards the party in the "inside" of the roofless temple, expression business-like, but he stops short and positively boggles at the size of Spy Shot 6. "Why, I ain't seen a robot that small since Buegauñe Two!" he exclaims. Obviously, these aren't Transformers he's referring too, either.
This is bad. Really, really bad. Kup steps forward. "Hello, Spy Shot 6. My name's Kup." Kup, incidentally, is named for his alternate mode as well, as that was what the particular kind of truck he transforms into had been referred to many millions of years ago on Cybertron. So to the elder, Spy Shot's name is downright traditional. "I'm head of security and main forces for the Autobots, and it's my job to question new arrivals."
He turns towards Hook and inclines his head. "Although out of respect for our... alliance," Kup's tone is mistrustful - Decepticons are still Decepticons, "I won't be questioning you. Brought this guy along," he gestures towards Scourge, "so he can get you back to your folk."

Scourge almost flinches at sighting Perceptor, but he remembers that this is not the violator of all ethical science codes that he knows. "I am Scourge. A doctor." He gives a slight bow, before turning to Hook.
"Hook! It's good to see you." A leap, and the small Decepticon has landed on the Constructicon's hands. "How strange that this be brought about by Autobots. Yet, it is so. But, we can talk later, at the operational base."

Grimlock notes Kup's tones. Seems the old-timer doesn't like this situation. Grimlock doesn't either, but for different reasons. He's been a bit quick to trust Hook.
If he sees the bigger Scourge, however, that may be a different story.
Then the little Scourge speaks, and Grimlock twitches faintly, watching him jump into Hook's hands. He peers down at the Predacon, blue optic band glowing a bit.
"...you alternate of Not-Optimus?"

Scourge? The little... bug... thing... is a Scourge? How the multiverse does boggle. It is nice to see unalloyed pleasure upon Hook's features, though.
Kup should have everything and everyone well in hand, freeing Perceptor and Grimlock to transport the contents of their overburdened subspace pockets off to Neo-Medical. Well, once Grimlock passes off Spy Shot, that is.
"Are you all right, Spy Shot?" Perceptor asks, noticing, finally, that the little mechanoid has not transformed back yet. "It is safe. I promise."
