Muzzle cannot glean any useful information about Det. Hunt's character from the handshake, other than that she is probably actually a police detective, but he is careful to look her in the eye.
He would love to snap at Elly about not using phrases like 'void her warranty' around people they aren't sure are secretly Autobots, but there's such a person here, so he can't.
"Lemme see if I can help Petunia with those pies," he says, following her into the kitchen. It's not the best excuse to talk to her privately, but he doesn't have a better one, and if Esprit gets suspicious, he can just pretend he went in after her for romantic reasons.

"I'm pretty sure the hospital would have noticed if you were a hemophiliac when you had that crash," Elly comments, being one who has undue faith in large bureaucracies. She pauses and rubs her chin. "Then again, I guess they should noticed if you were a regenerator, too. Couldn't you just start with paper cuts? Something smaller than, oh, slashing your thumb?"
Then she demands of Muzzle, "Wash your hands with the antiseptic soap for at least 60 seconds. There is a timer near the sink expressly for that purpose."

Miss Elly Winston and Detective Petunia Dahlia are now official People of Interest in Esprit's book. She will definitely tell Ned. She may also tell Ms. Raines. If Det. Dahlia actually is a regenerator, and if she matters to the Autobots...
...there is so much Ms. Raines could do with her.
First, though, Esprit needs to ruin Muzzle. It'll be fun.
She calls out lightly, "Do you two need to get a room? A room that isn't the kitchen?"

As Esprit calls out, Petunia half-turns back towards the living room. She looks rather bizarred out, but then she just shakes her head and gets back to her pies. Hopefully people like mushrooms.
"I'm trying to go for something noticeable, Elly!" She calls out instead. "Science is no good if it can't be clearly seen to be done."

Muzzle is about to snap back that Esprit is free to participate if she wants, except then she could take him up on it and he wouldn't be able to talk to Pee-Dee. He just rolls his eyes and grunts at Elly's command to wash his hands thoroughly.
The first chance he gets to do so without being observed or overheard, he lowers his voice and asks Petunia "How well do you know Detective Hunt?"

Elly is not thrilled by any aspect of humanity. Eating mushrooms is an aspect of humanity. So eating mushrooms does not thrill her. They are these squishy things that grow on dead, decaying wood, and that is terrible. However, she will eat the mushroom pot pie and smile, because Elly is a master of being insincerely politic. Also, not dying is good, and she does have to eat food to live.
She sometimes wonders if she is actually alive, though, or simply existing.
Elly calls out, "I don't hear splashing!"
Muzzle needs to make with less eye rolling and more hand washing.

Skipping Esprit due to time-out.
"She's my partner." Petunia seals the pies, then starts the oven pre-heating. "I know her about as well as I know anyone these days. How well do you know her?"

Esprit is fine with mushrooms. Most of the food in her household tends to be either trendy or healthy. Mushrooms are at least one of the two. Now that she has to pretend to be a normal person, Esprit sits down on the Ottoman and attempts small talk with Elly, inquiring, "How's your physiotherapy going, anyway?"
Is Elly going to be able to run when the Decepticons come for her? Elly knows Muzzle. That means something worth investigating.

Good idea, Sentinel! The sound of running water will further disguise the sound of whispered conversation. Muzzle turns on the faucet and splashes around, motioning Petunia to come closer as he whispers "I'm not sure. She reminds me of a dangerous criminal I have a history with. Does she always dress in those colors?"

Elly will definitely take credit for the splashing disguising the sounds of talking, even though that was not really what she was thinking. Likewise, she loves talking about herself, and it does not quite dawn on her why Esprit is being so talkative now and so interested in her well-being. Elly brags, "Downright excellent, if I must say so myself," which she does, "I can walk [lower than average distance] without getting winded now! My gait and balance are almost normal..."

"What, dark teal and dusty rose? Yeah. We've got enough leeway in the dress code to wear colors as long as they're muted enough to be professional." This is why Petunia can wear burnt orange slacks.
"She's acting awful friendly," she adds.

"And what's your weight back up to now?" Esprit asks, still maintaining her false casual friendliness. This is in one part a test. A normal human woman might get huffy over such a question, even though putting weight back on is going to be a natural part of healing process as Elly's tissues rebuild themselves. What little of Elly's wardrobe that Esprit has seen seems fairly fashionable. Would an Autobot know to be offended?
It's also one part wondering how much chloroform Esprit's going to need to put Elly down without killing her. Elly's height is already in the police report.

Muzzle's eyes narrow. "Because she's usually real quiet and distant, right? Always the Bad Cop whenever you're interrogating? Real crack shot with her sidearm?" he guesses. A mixture of fear and elation comes over him. If it's Spinister, then he knows where Spinister is and can finally get the thrice-blasted machine back for what he and his cronies did to Nightbeat on Pz-Zazz. (The first time, back in their home universe.) On the other hand, if it's Spinister, then Spinister is a police detective who is near Pee-Dee every day and knows where Sentinel Prime lives.

"Oh, uhm," Elly says, fidgeting, "45 kilo?" because robots think in metric, clearly, "I really need to put on more weight. It's just so hard. With my kidneys and liver and pancreas so messed up, there are so few things I can eat." Being Sentinel Prime and disdainful of organics, there are so few things that she wants to eat. "Det. Dahlia's wonderful for humouring me."
She shoots a genuinely fond glance over in the general direction of the kitchen.

"She's usually quiet," Petunia agrees. "But she's not the Bad Cop. She just stares at the people we talk to until it's time to go. And I don't know what kind of shot she is - it's not like we need to shoot people all that much."
"Oh, did you bring a knife?"
