"Yes, I'm sure I don't want it," Optimus says, trying to decide whether to grin or frown when Bulkhead chugs the second cube and settling on an expression somewhere in between.
"There's lots of new people to meet, and more arriving all the time. It's a lot to take in at first, but you'll get used to it. Why don't we stop in at the lounge next?"

Bulkhead completely misses Optimus's odd expression as the cube is drained, good thing really, he would likely make an inappropriate comment about energon gas buildup without thinking. Lounge. That's a good word. After the rush of new information and being wrenched across time and space, Bulkhead and the Lounge will get along very well! "Sounds like a plan." he says, "It would be good to chill out and get my head straight. Lots to take in." Following where Optimus leads, Bulkhead plods along, thinking vaguely about space bridges and the potential for distributing their mass loads into a cross-polarized nexus of realities. Nah, if it was that simple, someone smart here would have thought of it by now!

Optimus keys open the door to the lounge, checking to see if anyone's here. "This is where 'bots come to relax when they're got some free time. Not much to say about it, really."
If television has taught us anything, it is that a talented savant can often think of things a traditionally "smart" person wouldn't. Bulkhead should totally talk to Perceptor about stuff and junk.

On the couch in the lounge is someone Optimus probably hasn't seen much of lately. Elita-1 is curled up watching one of the Earth movies that someone decided to add to the library. She sniffs and wipes at her optics with one gloved hand.
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn
"But that isn't fair!" she almost shouts at the teevee, "She's finally figured it out! Oh- um..."
Yeah. This is embarrassing.
"Er, hi Optimus. Who's the new face?" she asks, quickly switching off the movie.
OOC: Er, this looked like a good time to post in? Hope you two don't mind?

Bulkhead likely will exchange ideas with Perceptor and any other science bot in the area at some point, once he has got to grips with the way things work here. As the door chu-chunks open, Bulkhead eyes the big TV happily, even if it does seem to be missing colour at the moment. It must need repair. The almost-wail from the couch catches his attention and he turns to wave at Elita-1. "Hi there!" Elita-1 is lucky, Bulkhead is slow on the uptake with regard to embarrasment and his loud greeting should cover her sniffles. "The name's Bulkhead, whats your name, lil lady?"
OOC: Not at all!

It's not that Optimus hasn't been meaning to check up on Elita and Sentinel! It's just that everyone's got duty schedules and then they're tired at the end of the day and they probably don't want to talk to him anyway after he made an aft out of himself by not showing up before when they needed him . . .
"Oh, Elita!" he says. "This is Bulkhead. He's just arrived, he was part of my crew back home. Bulkhead, this is my friend Elita-1." The l'il Prime isn't going to tell Bulkhead about when Elita was pulled from. She can tell him herself if she wants to.
"What are you watching? And, er, how's Sentinel?"

But Gone With the Wind was filmed in glorious technicolor!
Elita gives Bulkhead a little wave and says, "Yeah, I'm Elita-1.". She flips around on the couch so that she's sitting on her knees, arms resting on the couch back.
"It's nice to meet you. Optimus has had really good things to say about his crew. Heh," she looks away, slightly embarrassed, "I bet you're happy to have another of your people here, Optimus."
When asked about the movie, she answers, "Oh, just something silly someone added to the Terran library. I think it qualifies as historical romance for those human things?"
"It's kinda tragic, really."

Of course it was - 5 seconds on the Pz-zazzian equivelent of Google could have told him that. Now Bulkhead feels like a fool! His classic-movie-fu is weak.
Optimus has said good things about him? Bulkhead swells with pride on hearing this. He doesnt recall Optimus ever having mentioned Elita-1's name before, but they seem to know each other.
"Very nice to meet ya, sorry to interrupt the movie. Any car chases?" Historical romance? Tragedy? Oh dear, sounds like a chick-bot flick!
"Good to hear there is a movie library though, all we need now is video games, refined energon and some electrum-coated popcorn and we've got ourselves an evening!" he laughs.

What's kind of tragic? The movie, or Sentinel?
"It's great having Bulkhead here, but everyone here is just as much 'my people' as he is," Optimus says.
There's a very good, extremely convoluted reason reason why Optimus has never mentioned Elita-1, Bulkhead. Don't ask him about it some time, so he can not explain it to you!
"We do have some video games here. I played one with Emirate Xaaron once."

The answer is yes.
"No car chases I'm afraid. No cars at all, actually. Just these wood carts pulled by these things called horses. They don't even have electric lights! Really, who lives like that?" Elita sounds rather dubious that about the veracity of this "historical" film.
"But it was a good story, mostly."
She looks from Optimus to Bulkhead. "So, er, how much time separates you two? And how does he fit in the timeline with all the rest of us from that reality set?"
//Does he... know Sentinel?// she asks Optimus privately. Because really, that can be good or bad, depending.

No electric lights? Bulkhead has trouble understanding the concept, almost everyone he has ever met has got electric lights built into thier bodies somewhere. Mind you, there is quite a lot of things Bulkhead has trouble understanding the concept of.
There is so much unspoken communication between Optimus and Elita-1 that even Bulkhead is detecting something in the air. Hmmm, better keep your mouth shut, Bulkie, don't want to upset anything!
"Errr, Optimus said he was from further back than me. Seems wierd that I know about stuff he has done and he hasn't done it yet. Or will do. Or might be doing now in some other universe. Or something." Eyes crossed in concentration, Bulkhead gives the most concise explanation to Elita's question that he can. "I don't remember seeing you on Earth yet, are you from my future? Are we all ok?"
Oh, Bulkhead remembers his beloved Boot Camp Drill Sergeant and the hi-jinx that ensued! Thinking about it, he kinda hopes Sentinel doesn't remember him...

"They're organics, maybe they used to not have as many machines," Optimus ponders. "I actually saw a cart with three humans in it being pulled by another organic in one of the outdoor recreational areas in Detroit.
"Bulkhead is from after both of us, but before pretty much everyone else. Elita-1 is actually an old friend from my academy days, Bulkhead. We . . . hadn't spoken for a while before she arrived here." It's all there on the database, Bulkhead. It's okay though, she got better. Sort of.
"Speaking of which, have you met Sentinel Prime?"

Giving Optimus a quick, shy smile- a thank you for not getting into that story just yet- Elita-1 adds, "I was pulled from our academy days, actually, a bit more than a thousand stellar cycles before Optimus's own pull point. So I'm afraid I don't know anything about what happens to you guys on Earth."
She shifts a bit on the couch, adjusting how she's sitting on her knees so as to be more comfortable.
"Let's see, there's me, you two, Sentinel, the twins, Glyph, Mayday, Bambi, Scrapper, Prowl- I think that's everyone from our group." Elita frowns, "Well, among the Autobots, that is*."
*Which oddly enough seems to make Animated the most represented reality next to the original cartoon- and maybe the one with the most actually actively played. Go figure.

"Funny you mention the Academy days, Sentinel was my instructor back at Boot Camp." Bulkhead sighs as he remembers the old days. "He gave me my name, taught me what it means to be an Autobot." A look of mild panic replaces the wistful nostalgia "Erm, me and 'Bee kinda made trouble. I hope he's forgotten!"
Wow, that is a lot of fellow animated-ees, "I know you guys, Sentinel and Prowl, but I'm drawin' a blank on them other names. Can't wait to meet em!"
Bulkhead jots down another few things to look up in the database. There better not be a test after all this, he never was good at homework.

"Sentinel was your drill instructor? You have my sympathies," Optimus says, giving Bulkhead a rather nonplussed look. He's not terribly surprised to hear that Bulkhead and Bumblebee were causing trouble back in boot camp. "Drill instructors deal with a lot of students over the years, Bulkhead. I'm sure he's forgotten all about it." Then again, it wouldn't be like Sentinel to let go of a grudge.
