Now for the hips and legs, and soon the helicopter is fully clad once more. Without even needing to use the straps at all!
"Removal of your armor will be minimal at this juncture," Hook says in the general direction of the Nebulans. "I am given to understand that you scan more efficiently than most mechanoids."

Hairsplitter offers readily, "Actually, we can strip out of our armour on our own, if you'd like. It's just if you want us down to our skivvies where we'll need some," he looks over at Singe, "privacy. Oh, and you can't use MRI on us. It would tear us apart."
In accepting anticipation, he starts to unbuckle and unlatch his Targetmaster armour. Singe, however, just stands there, sulking.
Spinister actually waits for a direction such as 'you may sit up' or 'you may leave the table now'.

Hook tends to assume that patients can figure out for themselves that he's done with them. He's often horribly disappointed by this, but he survives.
One of the little guns is removing its armor for him. Useful but not quite required yet. "Stop. You-" He points at the sullen one. "Will stay armored as a control case. You will still be scanned. You-" The helpful one this time. "Will continue that when you are actually in position to be scanned."

Hook is finicky. If Spinister sits up or leaves the table too soon, he will not hear the end of it from Hook he figures. Still, he does sit up and leave the table, since Hook is busy with his Targetmasters.
Spinister moves to casually lean against a wall and take in the sights.
Hairsplitter pauses and looks abashed, excusing, "Oh, sorry."

And now the little guns need to be lifted up to where they can be scan. Hook suspects, however, that it would be rude to just grab them.
Perhaps he's lucky, though. "Do you two fly?"

Singe snorts, "Do I look like a bird?"
Hairsplitter clarifies, "We don't fly. We do jump fairly well, however." Targetmasters can do the 'jump, hover, transform, and shoot' thing that seemingly defies gravity, but they're from Spinister's reality, so they don't truly fly.

"Can you get up here-" Hook places his hand on the counter. "-Without Spinister needing to pick you up?"

Given that the table is probably around hand-height for a Transformer, and Targetmasters have to be able to get to their partners' hands from the ground, it would be reasonable for a Targetmaster Nebulan to be able to make that jump.
Hairsplitter does so, his pieces of removed armour clutched in his arms. He considers the view and waves Singe up, who follows more grudgingly.

Such helpful little transforming guns! Well, one of them was, at least. Why Spinister kept the other around was a mystery.
"You, the sullen one, sit down. You, the helpful one, finish removing your armor."

Spinister keeps Singe around because Singe can mightily burninate things. Sometimes, being able to snipe from two miles away just isn't good enough, after all.
Singe sits down and manages to look both disgruntled and bored.
Hairsplitter, on the other hand, continues to strip out of his armour, showing a neurotic attention to detail in how he meticulously organises his removed pieces of armour.

Hairsplitter might get patted on the head if Hook didn't think touching an organic with his bare hands would require immediate sterilization.
While the Nebulan works on stripping down, Hook picks up a handheld scanner and does a pre-scan of Singe. The data that returns leads to him making a few adjustments, then admonishing the Nebulan to lie still for the next go-round.

Singe grumbles, "Couldn't you do this while I'm sleeping? I have better things to be doing."
"Like what?" Hairsplitter inquires pointedly.
Singe glares at Hairsplitter. If he was on Nebulos, the better things to do would be obvious. If he was on Earth, the better things to do would still be obvious. He isn't, and they aren't. Woes. Singe holds still this time. He can be a good soldier and follow orders. He's just bitter about it.

Yes, the helpful one should be kept and petted and put to work on jobs that need small hands. The other one should fall down a hole and break his leg.
However, bitter and complaining soldiers are nothing new. Even though they should all fall down holes and break their automotive abilities.
The scans on Singe taken, Hook connects the hand-scanner to the main laboratory systems and downloads the data. Then he turns to Hairsplitter. "Sit."

Spinister would not be pleased if Singe broke his legs. Nebulans do not have easily repaired internal components as Transformers do. Spinister, however, understands what Singe's issues is - better now than he did initially, actually.
Of course, he thinks that Nebulans are a bit silly. Why couldn't Singe just have shot Galen? it's what a Decepticon would have done. Their legal codes are so queer.
Hairsplitter sits and is still. He even tries to hold his breath. One gets the impression that if he was more in touch with his body, he'd even be trying to lower his pulse rate.

Hook takes much the same scans of Hairsplitter that he took of Singe. Though, he does favor Hairsplitter with a smile after the scanning. "You may replace your armor. I'm finished with you."
Then that data is uploaded into the system, and the Constructicon begins an in-depth examination of it. Before he gets too engaged, however, he hmms and pulls up a data-set from both Singe and Hairsplitter, then opens up another file with a data-set from what must be the same type of scan. All three are displayed in a column for ease of comparision.
The two Nebulans' are almost imperceptibly different from each other to the untrained optic. The third, however, while bearing certain similarities is also markedly different.
"Interesting..."
