Hairsplitter visibly beams at the smile. Working for the Decepticons is a little weird, but they've always appreciated him more than his fellow Nebulans did. He meticulously dons his armour, fussing over each little latch, making certain that the suit locks together just so.
Singe is all too eager to scamper off the table.
Spinister looks over at the scans and inquires, voice hoarse and low, "One of the Predacons?"

"No. This is Scourge."

Hairsplitter cannot help reminding, "Technically speaking, both Scourges are Predacons. It is just that one of the Predacon Scourges is also a Decepticon."
Thank you, Robots in Disguise, for inverting everything that made sense.
Singe lightly thwaps Hairsplitter in the arm when Hairsplitter lands next to him.
Spinister states flatly, "He has an organic biosignature." Now that is a very interesting thing. He's not entirely sure how that's relevant, except that sensors designed to detect organics can apparently also pick up Scourge. "Is he aware?"

"Technically speaking," Hook corrects, "the larger Scourge has extremely few of the traits that mark a Predacon. Calling him such is a formality."
The Constructicon enters several commands into the computer, bringing up four more bio-signatures. These four are added into the column at the bottom. The lowest two are as alike as Singe and Hairsplitter's are but also wildly unlike the organic bio-signatures, while the one directly above them has a few differences that an untrained optic might notice after studying it for some time. The one in between Scourge's and the rest of the new set bears certain markers of the organic bio-signatures but it is markedly closer to the other three signatures.
"Blackarachnia. Thrust. Dead End. Yourself." Hook taps each bio-signature in turn from top to bottom. "And I am unaware if Scourge is himself aware."

Hairsplitter looks suitably abashed at the correction.
Spinister's facemask scrunches up, and he comments, "Weird." He paces behind Hook, looking at the column from a few angles before adding, "Scourge's bio-signature is much too organic, given his structure." He shakes his head. "'least, as far as I can see. Not my field. I'll leave worrying about what it means to you and yours, Lord Hook."
Like slag Spinister will. He read Sky-Byte's report. Scourge scanned a human when he was created, if Sky-Byte is correct. Looks like a funky bio-signature is what Scourge got from his human 'parent'. Guess he's more Predacon than he looks.

"Scourge's bio-signature is much too organic, given that he's a Transformer at all." However, the mystery of it isn't that great. Hook has also read Sky-Byte's report. "Be that as it may, however, you and your guns are free to go now."

"Thank you, Lord Hook," Spinister concludes politely, bowing. After all, Hook didn't make it too onerous, and Spinister asked Hook to do this, anyway.
"Yes, thank you, sir," Hairsplitter confirms, compulsively checking over his latches again.
The three of them trudge out of the lab, and one would dare say that Spinister makes less noise in doing so than his Nebulans do.
